Our London ambassador on why Reformasi here is for the deluded

I’ve quoted a few letters from our London ambassador to the Economist showing that in return for a cushy, well, paid job, the lady has to shallow some sperm now and then.

But the latest letter got it about right in terms of the PAP’s dominance of S’pore politics. And it’s funny too:

Politics in Singapore

Your Banyan columnist (May 26th) notes that “voting is clean” in Singapore. Furthermore, that the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) has won 14 general elections since 1959 because it runs “the country competently”. I thank Banyan for the compliment. After all, how many former British colonies are there where voting has always been clean and their governments consistently competent?

But Banyan insists there is more to the PAP’s longevity: a “favourable electoral system” and a cowed electorate, among other things. The PAP won 70% of the popular vote in the last general election. Could a “favourable electoral system” have delivered that? Your correspondents have been stationed in Singapore for decades. Did Singaporeans strike them as a people easily brainwashed into believing that the PAP and Singapore are “synonymous”?

Singaporeans are well-travelled, well informed and some even read The Economist. They continue to vote for the PAP because it continues to deliver them good government, stability and progress. The PAP has never taken this support for granted. As Lee Hsien Loong, the prime minister, noted recently, the political system is contestable. We have kept it so. The PAP could well lose power, and would deserve to do so if it ever became incompetent and corrupt.

High commissioner for Singapore
London

So Tun and the S’poreans who think the sun shines from his ass can keep on wanking:

A Financial Times story today said – Mr Mahathir, who always enjoyed needling neighbouring Singapore and its long-ruling People’s Action Party, said the electoral earthquake would reverberate across the narrow Straits of Johor.

Mahathir told the Financial Times, “I think the people of Singapore, like the people of Malaysia, must be tired of having the same government, the same party, since independence.”

The reason why PAP has kept their power over the people is partly because they had perfected lawlessness to the point of brain freezing the people in the classrooms of perpetual learning of the living dead.

When your powers are supported by sinful idiots, you can surely expect the rewards of idiocy.

You take idiocy to the another level when you take pride in the support of sinful idiots.

70% of Singapore vote Democratically for an authoritarian government who has to fulfil it’s role is screwing them because they asked for it election after election.

Better ride into the sunset, same as Goh Chok Tong, who talks more than he works, thinking he’s pleasing the Emperor about nominating his PM to be fast, but instead got whacked left, right, centre, now shut himself up to ride out the storm.

If there’s anywhere that needs “reformasi”
It should be this stupid TRE
    Harping on this subject repeatedly
Where readers are not interested really
The moderator probably loves to see me
    Poem-fucking this CI repeatedly
But I can also poem-fiack anybody
Either CI or this moderator whoever it can be
Already proven that this writer is shallow and empty
Can’t tell the difference between GRC and GLC
    That easily demonstrates his stupidity
Yet the stupid moderator still cannot see
Despite several forummers making noise already
If this TRE ever close down suddenly
    I will celebrate very happily!

  • pap Ljs and pap Cbs:

this morning in coffee shop we discussed what happens to pap PA paid IBs when pap runs road after GE2019.

we volunteered to supply the largest hammer on earth to hammer them out of shape. true. we respect his citizens. but when his citizen pap PA paid IB ci is so ffffing ridiculous we just cannot disagree with local born Singaporeans who want to hammer him to pulp.

we looked at many history books. not a single regime such as pap clown pap ever survived for long and not a single pap clown pap PA paid IB not put to justice as soon as pap clown pap kaputs.

will we hammer pap PA paid IBs such as ci to pulp?

surely not. we are of far better mettle.

but we swear we won’t deprive other local born who wants to do so. we gladly hand them the world largest hammer to do so.

Take time off and explore UK and the region in depth and with an open mind. Avoid being like a frog in the well. Take it easy and be not be afraid. It is a different world out there. Vibrant, colorful and intellectually stimulating in so many things. Compare and contrast what’s happening over there and over here. Then tell it as it is.

How ironic that Singaporeans Democratically voted for Non-Democratic system that is draconian, authoritarian and dictatorial where the Rakyat is prepared to SINK with the papaya in the event of systemic collapse or systemic wide corruption because the Rakyat has Helped Ensure there is NO ALTERNATIVE to take over when papaya fails eventually.

Singaporeans do not believe that any other system or party can be better than incumbent.

Singaporeans has made sure that when papaya fails they all sink.

  • Dinners are just dinners:

Singapore cannot actually see a change of government. We would first have to implement every single thing that Bersih 2.0 has campaigned for in Malaysia and more and have those reforms actually implemented and run for years before we can have a fair political system that could actually could lead to a change of government. Under the current unreformed political system, without Bersih 2.0 type reforms, and a fair electoral system (e.g. implementing something like the NZ or Irish electoral systems in place of first past the post GRCs) there is just no hope of any such change of government despite assertions of a possibility by know-it-call mouthpiece diplomats paid to speak on politically sensitive matters beyond their diplomatic mandate. They don’t know what a true democracy is and are just not interested in seeing a real one ever coming about from their cushy embassies.
