Let us stand united as a country, but it is nonetheless disappointing we have weak ministers leading us

Many people have read that the Malaysians have expanded their port limits off Tuas and encroached into our territorial waters. I hope that good sense, our common history and friendship with them cultivated over the years can help us overcome any difficulties. If the worst case, we may have to approach some credible international organization (such as the United Nations) to step in.

If indeed our territorial waters is encroached upon, then Singaporeans must cast aside our political differences and stand united and firmly behind our government in handling it. Reading and following this development, I would like to share my little thoughts and growing up experiences and I believe that there are useful lessons that we can learn together.

I grew up in Singapore in the 60s and 70s and life then was tough for many people. Those years, I lived in Lim Chu Kang/ Neo Tiew village I would walk about 2 miles everyday to attend school at Ama Keng. It was a rough neighbourhood where I lived and it sharpened my survival instincts with being street-smart very early on in my life; the one valuable lesson that I have learned then was that if you are weak, it must tempt people to bully you, to take advantage of you, to push you around or simply to find troubles with you etc. Even street dogs, if they sense that you are scared, would bark and chase you even more.

I have great respect for the old guard PAP ministers because deep in my heart, I knew that we had strong lion leaders leading a flock of sheep. Today, I am greatly disappointed by the calibre and the lack of competency of many of our very well-paid politicians. It is a fallacy that has survived far too long that highly educated people make good leaders. Highly educated people are more trainable and speak better English, but at best, they make good technocrats and professionals but truly competent and capable leaders are a different kettle of fish.

I do not believe that they can be produced through formal education. Today, all our Minsters are highly educated. But to me, many of them are weak leaders and they include people like Lee Hsien Loong and every MP in his AMK GRC, Amy Khor, Masagos, Sam Tan, Josephine Teo, Vivian Balakrishnan and Gan Kim Yong etc. What they have said and/or how they have performed are there for all to see.

By contrast, the admirable leadership traits of men like the late Lee Kuan Yew, Goh Keng Swee, Hon Swee Sen, S. Rajaratnam and Toh Chin Chye etc unfortunately did flow through to today’s PAP politicians. True and worthy leaders are not those mere sitting on big titles or the impressive educational credentials added to their names.

True and worthy leaders deliver performance, performance and still, performance to better the lives of their people tangibly and to me, leaders such as our late Minister Mentor, China’s Deng Xiao Ping and Xi Jin Peng are some outstanding ones. Singaporeans must be smarter and understand that for our own good and survival.

In conclusion, let us pull together as one united people and support our government and send absolutely clear signals out that we are peace lovers, we deal fairly and we respect and honour our legal commitments. At the same time, we are no pushover for whoever may wish to test us. Friends and foes must understand that although we are a small country, our strengths, our abilities and our resolve are not small.

Cannot handle even simple relationship with neighbors and demand insanely high salaries, means need to be changed, because they claimed to be the best.

The worse is leading to unimaginable more damage.

Sorry man, never seen them stand behind sinkies in need. We worry later they turn around and even gun us.

If I recalled the WWII, I better be the translator to be safe.

On October 22, 1925, Gandhi published a list he called the Seven Social Sins in his weekly newspaper Young India. They are:

    Politics without principles.
    Wealth without work.
    Pleasure without conscience.
    Knowledge without character.
    Commerce without morality.
    Science without humanity.
    Worship without sacrifice.

Millennials only want to win at ‘virtual wars’ and with high scores. What really worries is, they may not be able to differentiate between virtual or reality. The side with the most joysticks and buttons to fiddle with, wins. But on reality checks, nobody wins in a real war. Hope Gen Y from both sides are the same.

Don’t fall into PAP’s trap. They are using the “foreign” intrusion into local waters as a tool to unite the people. It is a classic trick.

All these threats about sinking ships is simply hot air. All the amount spent on defense for a plot of land no bigger than some Australian farms is simply not defensible.

Take a look at Indonesia. They quietly burned any boats that entered into their territorial waters without so much as a sneeze.

Stay united for Singapore—just not for the PAP. They will destroy the country simply to perpetuate their own rule.

Simon we were ONCE part of Malaysia…NO CHOICE of refusal 3 choices of acceptance concocted by a CONman name Lie Con You…

almost 50% of our Founding Generation leaders were from Malaya and MOST were NOT keen in the separation but we were NOT given a CHOICE of STAYING and was booted OUT owing to a Con’s ambition to be PM…

Today The Con is GONE and the Malaysians have found a Wind of Change in their outlook with the Baggage created most likely thrown into the Bonfire of Race politics the Con was famous for as well as the ULTRAS up NORTH…

We reclaim land to almost a whisker from the sea boundary? and claim RIGHTS to Batu Putih to them and Horsburgh to us…at the Low tide, the rocks belonging to them are almost an extension of Horsburgh…

so HOW???…bring back the Abang Adek or Live & let LIVE???

I say, bring down all the BOUNDARIES & Borders and let it be free and easy since we allowed so many Foreigners from all over the WORLD claiming Resident * Citizenship RIGHTS in this little Rock once called TUMASIK!!!

Our Founding Generations will NOT recognise the Island they Built with their Blood-Sweat & Tears today with the number of Foreigners flooding everywhere and they are NOT tourists leh!!!

Sorry uncle Simon Lim but 30% of voters aren’t going to be on PAP’s side regarding this little argument with Malaysia.

After all this is a problem PAP should solve by themselves, why drag Singaporeans into it and publish rubbish about being united and all that?

The PAP is only united in wanting to make life difficult for us with the high cost of living as well as the never ending import of aliens. The population now stands at 5.6 million, do you think more people would not be let in come the 2020s?

ST can continue to publish non stop reports on the maritime and airspace disputes, PAP has an even bigger battle next year when the election is announced.

No need stand united or go to war lah !

All that Malaysia needs to do is to increase or apply toll charges to “visiting Sinkapore Motorcycles” to Malaysia by RM$ 30 per entry .

You think our G ‘dares” to “reciprocate” and “apply $30″ to each “visiting Malaysian Motorcycle” ???

Instantly,…without a “Bullet fired”….this “Red DOT” will “collapsed” overnite and start to “cough” because our industries will become “stalled” thru “shortage of heap workers”.

When that happens,…lets see if our “Mr COW and his 4Gs” will still dare kpkb ???

Again,….who “created” this problem of being too “dependent” on OPEN LEG policy and “screwing” own sillyzeans ???

    “Stand United” ????….ha,ha,ha,….

Just go and see the number of Sinkies coming into JB for “Fun and shopping” still ….Ghee?…traffic is still as “congested” as before..so many sinkies “lining up” their cars to come into JB leh ??

  • Father, Son & HoLee Ghost:

    Elit=ism and Peasants.:
    “…Elite send son to safety,
    we send son to battle…”

    Absolutely.

Maybe the First Familee should show the way: walk the walk instead of talking the talk.

Father and son are both generals after all, aren’t they?

Father holds the rank “BG (Retired)”
    - recall how, back then, ST, whenever mentioning him, used to insist on calling him that (right before & after he entered poleeticsg), die-die also must add the rank in front of his name macam “Mr” not a good-enough honorific to use & BG more suited to project a tougher image (for a useless ahaha, timid ahkwa), and the practice persisted for quite sometime in the years, a good many years thereafter -
and even cockier directionless Son (going out of his way to cultivate a Silicon Valley look, no, Oh-I-Am-So-Silicon-Valley demeanor, by not bothering to shave to achieve that unkempt look and sporting $49 Havianna sloppy flops) is ultimate head of party & gahmen’s IB, which makes him a brigadier or
BG and so a (junior) general, too.

    Let them lead the charge
    - as they should, being First Familee members and for st in everything, including first in school, first at NYJC (the cuntree’s first JC to be set up – just for him, of course, and the familee’s poleetical agenda), first winner of cuntree’s most prestigious inaugural President’s Scholarship (again, set up solely for him & the familee’s poleetical agenda), etc, etc, etc, etc -
be the first to wade ashore onto Johor and break through its heavily fortified defense barricades and claim first casualties (the Father’s peer, the state Clown Prince, and the clown prince’s father).

Only then will the 500,000 SAF regulars, NSFs and reservists be convinced of their leeders’ commitment to nation then follow their lead into taking down the rest of the peninsula!

Will we (get to) see the BG Father-Son team do it?

Oh, if they feel divine (backup) power is in order, they will be most welcome to summon (back up) the spirit of their departed ancestor, Sir Hairy, to join and aid the campaign. We will then get the most indefatigatible & powerful unmatched weapon in world military history:

    The HoLee Trinity^_^
of the Father (Ah Loong), the Son (Ah Aik) and, of course, the HoLee GHOst (not GOHst, no, not that useless piece of deadwood of a Grow-a-Cock Tong lah, but the “when my country is in trouble, I will rise back even as I am being lowered underground” supersonofsingapore & goddess of mercy KuanYin’s distant cousin called KuanYew the god of no mercy)

I say, man, with this so-powderfool PowerPunchPack, how to lose leh, how can Stinkypoo Leephuckbeewah lose??
