Appalled by the standards (if any) of our main stream media

I refer to the article on TISG [LINK] and CNA [LINK].

I am quite appalled by the standards (if any) of our main stream media which reports solely on the authorities point of view, amounting to a media trial!

What police have released to the MSM so far are half truths as it does not reveal the full facts to the public. Such a scenario presents itself as half truths, short of being a fake news.

Both Mr De Costa and “Willy Sum” are known to myself and “Willy Sum” is not even that person’s real name. I think police should come clean with the public on the true identity of this person, his troubled background and the circumstances to which Mr De Costa and him were acquainted since AGC is relying only on him to implicate Mr De Costa. The public should be provided the whole picture.

What I found most amusing was, the Senior Parl Sec for MHA’s response that Mr Xu publishes articles without checking who the real author is. If he had checked Ms Teo Soh Lung’s write out on “Willy”, he would have noticed that actors, writers and so forth have stage names, pen names. such as “Stormy Daniels”, “Sylvester Stallone” etc.

The modus operandi of the authorities for this case is both oxymoronic and troubling. Oxymoronic because an initial take down order led to a police report being lodged on the sly and longer even until they decided to commence action.

Troubling because a sledge hammer CID is being activated for this.

Police also mentioned that they needed to sieze the properties of both Mr Xu and Mr De Costa to secure evidence. From what is understood, there is no doubt TOC allowed publication of the article and it is alleged that Mr De Costa wrote the offending article at an unspecified internet cafe in Chinatown.

Searches revealed no such a cafe exists in Chinatown during material time of the article.

It is for the public good that this has now happened as it will continue where Parliament left off to prematurely close the 38 Oxley saga where there no investigation was called and the accusers were not allowed airtime in Parliament to give evidence of their serious allegations.

This and Mr Leong Sze Hian’s case should set alarm bells ringing if it already has not!

There is no need to be appalled at the standards of MSM. Accept that it is nothing more than a mouthpiece of the PAP. Any information that is released by the PAP is for the PAP and to show how good they are.

Accept this as a given when dealing with the PAP. There is no such thing as ethics or morality. The sole objective is to perpetuate themselves to continue their $1m privilege and be seen as aristocrats. Nothing else matters. If what they want is outside the law, they will legalise it–no sweat. Just look at the 38 Oxley Road saga played out in Parliament. What has Parliament got to do with it? It is like preaching to the converted.

How the CID acts and the AGC behaves are dependent on the PAP. Don’t forget that the AG is a long time friend of the Clown. So that office has now been politicised. Almost every institution in Singapore has now been politicise for the benefit of the PAP.

It is time for a change which is long overdue before the country goes to wreck and ruin. If you care for the future of the country then vote the PAP out definitively at the earliest opportunity.

It will be a point of no return.

All the dumb dumbs are happy becos they received their bonus from Govt. They claim all other are talking fake news while what they said are true. When caught they would say the not enough information was given at that time hence by saying that aloud was not fake news. This policy does not apply to daft Singaporeans but only selected people can use it.

“At its best, schooling can be about how to make (cultivate) a life, which is quite different from how to make a living … If students get a sound education in the history, social effects and psychological biases of technology, they may grow to be adults who use technology rather than be used by it.”

  • The Other Hard Truths:

The PAP is fond of accusing people of scandalizing the judiciary. In this case, they are “scoundrelizing” the judiciary.

Secondly, a minor correction. Every institution in Singapore has now been politically-weaponized for the benefit of the PAP
