The frustrations of PMETs being marginalized

Met and heard the frustrations of PMETs being marginalized.

Pitiful cases such as a 48 year old man out of job for 1.5 years after being retrenched from his previous work in logistics. Outcompeted by foreign PMETs. He has 4 children to feed and now works odd jobs to make ends meet. Fearful, angry and afraid for his family’s future.

Surely we had enough of the policies that were the caused of this misery to our own citizens made so by a Government focused on their self-serving political interest piling up and locking our money for God knows what.

Assured him and others like him, that we must not give up and believe in the collective power in our own hands and have the courage to use it. We can take back this country from the misguided elites.

Best quote for the night, “… if LKY in opposition now, i think he too cannot make it into parliament with all the mechanism to block the opposition now in place like GRC and others…”. Oh the irony of it all…..

Did u voted pappy in 2015? That was 4 yr ago, 69.9% did.
And u think u can vote pappu out in 2019/2020? 10 % of voters are from new citizens who have taken sg jobs.
    Good luck; is too late.
I given up (because of Sg Kiasee and Kiasu- care for ownselves) in 1974 at 17yr as a student social actvist. That’s more than 43 years ago. At 17yr I know what is separation of powers and the constitution (at least the Basic British constitution; and where do you think our constitution is originated from?)
Sgooreans deserves it as they think they are so smart then, but someone said, Sgporeans are daft!!
Daft 70% voters got overrun by new citizens and jobs taken over by foreigners in his own country. Laughing stock in the whole world!!! You think foreigners or new citizens will care about you.
    Hahaha

  • NotMyProblem:

I have to say this again, very soon a Minister could say it is “Fake News”.

GRC was supposed to be for minority races to be voted into Parliament for minority representation. But now the Chinese majority race needed GRC to enter Parliament. Whereas an Indian was voted into Parliament on his own, alone without any Chinese.

Also, it is now known that minority representation is only required at the time of election, after election, not necessary. That’s the reason minority MPs can absent from Parliament or sleep in parliament, that includes the Chinese MPs too.

If we want to get rid of GRC, vote Oppositions in all GRCs. This is to tell PAP; “GRC is bullshit!”

I never pity PMETs who lost job to FTs. They deserve it. Whether kiasi, kiasu or selfish people have to be dumped one day. They have no courage to vote for change even when live is at stake. Redemption is not in their dictionary.

  • Went to Japan:

Many people still have a job still fearful of voting against PAP, they think all these replacements only happen to opposition supporters and complaint kings.

My neighbour was one of them, he was replaced last year and till now he is unemployed being a pro white supporter.

Basically Singaporeans are too selfish, selfcentred to understand if they dont teach PAP a lesson, they are going to be screwed eventually.

Heng already confirmed that we are heading towards 10M, we will see more and more locals being in desperate situation.

Remember you voted for it, dont complain when you are hit.

  • LIONS:

    Vote clowns,you get a circu$.
FT Policy has already killed hundreds if thousand of good former PMEs since late 1990s.

Many of these have probably depleted their personal savings n facing grave financial strains especially with their CPF being withheld.

This lousy govt does not even bother to extend social security BUT STILL INCREASES COL.

  • more of the same, please:

Sinkies without the abikity to think: “What can the oppositions do for me?”

So they keep asking (voting) for more of the same.

  • more of the same, please:

If the PAP do not feel threatened, if they do not feel the heat of the competition, if they do not feel the need to perform, they won’t feel they need to change. They don’t care, curse and swear and complain all you want.

    Keep on suffering.

Remember that easily, more than 70% of these PMETs voted for it in 2015. Give them time to repent.

  • Oldtimer:

I fully support the need to vote for opposition.
Just having yes men in parliament is irresponsible.
Just having one party with experience running a country
is dangerous, we are experiencing now.

However it is also vital to be aware that the PAP
will be leaving a mess far Far worse than what they
did in Aljunied, to stymie their opponents. To them,
party is more important than country, as we have been
seeing over the years, and this has become pretty
blatant recently. Sorting out the problems created
by the PAP is going to be helluva challenge too.

The road ahead promises to be rough, with and without
the PAP. But it is one we Have to walk, in order to
get back the Spore we know and have loved, and to put
in place a govt that will serve Us.

  • KNN:

I’ve been jobless for past 10 years!!! Still surviving in the most expensive city hahaha!!!!

Luckily I could see the future back in 1995 & prepared like hell. Now debt-free, no more housing loans or car loans. With a large dividend-paying investment portfolio that is throwing out dividends equal to a higher-level PME salary. It’s like having a virtual worker working 24/7 around the clock, while I can slack & relax & do things I like.

Learnt investing from school of hard knocks & my portfolio struggled to survive thru Asian Financial Crisis, Dotcom Bust, 9/11, SARS. By the time of 2008 Global Financial Crisis, not a big deal to me liao. In fact my portfolio grown by 4X from 2008 till today.

Today you need to unlearn things you learnt in Poly/Uni & instead learn new things / paradigm in order to survive & thrive in S’pore.

PAPies don’t want Sinkies to realise this as it will loosen their control over sheep.

  • PAP advocates aggressiveness:

When a political leader urges the citizenry to be aggressive n theft, even to a citizen however daft, would be digging his own grave to bury his party, party members n bootlickers. New citizens took their citizenship upon the notion that Singapore is a peaceful n safe place not a place where the leader is pitting the citizens against foreigners with aggression n greed. It does not need much intelligence to guess what Singapore will become. If the new citizens support such leadership, they must as well stay back in their former motherland n be with their friends n relatives. But if they come bcos they want a peaceful n safe environment to bring up their children n to care for their aged parents when they could bring them over, then they should examine closely the capability of the ruling party members, the no accountability attitude, the greed, arrogance n egoism. Just imagine how goog can a government be if they could spend S$28 millions to entertain Kim just because he said he would not come if he has to pay for his stay and meeting. Any man with nano intelligence would be alerted to the non committal to the meeting n would be decline to host the meeting which was found to be a wise move by the development that follows. This evidently shows that SIN political leaders r self gratifying n self glorifying egoistic opportunists rather than honouring their oath of office taken upon each of their own faith. If one can betray n dishonour one’s own faith, what could hold them back from betraying the citizens n the nation. Traitors r the worse human of human community no one who love their country would hesitate to put them away. So SIN old citizens do not fall prey to the recent rash to sweeten them with goodies using their own state fund n new citizens should consider more important to preserve what they have come to settle for n not just for the gratitude of admission to aid their evil doing. If both old n new citizens think n not bribed to blindness, Zthere is still future of Singapore to be peaceful, safe n good nation to live.

before the man died, people when talking in kopi tiam had to look left look right and behind their back first to make sure no spies are listening in. climate of fear…remember?

after the old man died many sinkies heaved a sigh of relief..old man mati more freedom. caq was at a lost for a while.

but this is going to change.

climate of fear is coming back in a new package to keep up with the time and technology to catch sinkie.

what talking? what is this new package? a clue…sinkies mostly now dont hangout in kopi tiam for their daily dose of talk cock sing song sessions.

Submitted and written an email to MOM take action against few people who are working in Singapore with fake experience . MOM never taken any action against them . Anyone have any idea how to report/complaint to MOM . Last 1 year I have seen lot of foreigners are getting jobs because they simply apply jobs with fake experience . Singaporeans are not getting jobs because they never lie in their resumes.
