Thoughts on new citizens

PAP MP Ang Hin Kee had graced a new citizen ceremony event in AMK GRC on Wednesday (13 Nov).

Singapore enjoys good a reputation internationally. We welcome new citizens who have decided to make Singapore their new home and we also hope that they can contribute towards our prosperity and be law-abiding citizens. Additionally, we also hope that they can make that extra effort at integrating with our locals. After all, life is a matter of give and take and not just take and take.

Thus, I would appreciate if Immigration and Checkpoint Authority is able to share:

a) how many new citizens give up their Singaporean citizenship within 15 years of obtaining it, and;
b) do they suffer any consequences if they do so.

The reason that I ask is because first generation new male citizens do not need to serve national service. It would be so stupid of our government if they use us as a stepping stone, get to enjoy the conveniences and privileges that a Singapore passport accords them, enjoy all other subsidies such as healthcare and public housing, before subsequently withdrawing all their CPF savings before saying “bye-bye” to us.

Next, I would like to suggest that new citizens are not allowed to vote in either our General Election or any by-elections in the first 5 years of them becoming citizens. This is similar to Thailand, which does not allow their new citizens to vote in the first 5 years of them obtaining Thai citizenship. It is ultimately unwise to allow new citizens to influence our electoral results in any way due to their lack of in-depth understanding of our national contexts in so many aspects, except to express their gratitude to the incumbent government through their votes.

Where is the Care or CONcern???…CONNING them for their votes and leaving them to Die your Pasal, not Ours…Bloody Bastards starting with the Biggest BASTARD of them all the man who CON YOU!!!

  • simon, focus on the important:

that pap is going for 10.0m mouths is a given.

so stop dreaming pap is going to let up since if pap lets us pap folks give up their S$m GDP growth bonus.

no human, especially pap folks, give up S$m. not anyone especially pap folks.

so stop wasting time and byte space asking pap questions which pap isn’t ever going to answer. it is as good as asking what is pap clown wife wage in temasick. as long as INDIAN president is in istana, zero chance to know.

far better and productive to focus on how you, your family, your friends, your colleagues, your neighbours are going to help Dr Tan CB PSP coalition form New Government after GE2019.

7 habits of effective citizenship say the 1st habit is focus on toppling pap.

Heard from an ex-colleague. He’s a new citizen from our nearest neighbour. When asked which party he has voted in the last GE, he says he can only vote for the pap. He fears otherwise his sg citizenship would be revoked. So don’t need to guess who he would vote for in the coming election.

I also heard the same coming from a friend’s relative too. FEAR is the deciding factor for majority citizens, new or native. While others like Ramesh, the foreign-born who gets super rich earning big bucks here, you don’t need to be a genius to know which party they’ve voted and will vote for.

So, you can say ‘bye-bye’ to your suggestion, Simon. The ruling party is not stupid. What they want is just votes to stay in power. How new citizens have taken advantage of sg as a stepping stone or whatsoever is secondary to them.

The current lot of NEW CITIZENS are not the same as our forefathers who came to SETTL here.
Our forefathers who endured harsh and arduous sea journeys came here without any *cushy* jobs waiting for them?!
These days,FTs who come here have already SECURED CUSHY JOBS waiting for them after being robbed away from sgs.

Do you think these new citizens would hang on when they lose their livelihoods or find greener pastures elsewhere?
Air-travel makes it easier to COME AND GO as these aliens like.
Many so-called new citizens have *back-doors* to escape from shud they find life us no more good for them here???

    So,gahmen n scholars,STOP DREAMING.

there is this neighbour operating very sophisticated equipment. very sophisticated, those which soar above the skies.

yet when it comes to toppling pap, he is so afraid. he says the ballot slip has serial number and so he cannot vote OPPO.

we told him we voted OPPO since the day we could vote and we have yet to have ampai knocking at our door after midnight. but he looks fearful even to think of such.

WTF. it takes much education to operate sophisticated equipment. yet it is brainless in the end when it comes to serial number on ballot paper.

  • Dr. Sun Yat Sen says:

“Remember that a civilized nation cannot just have one party; if there were only one party, this would merely be a dictatorship… This thing called nationalism is a treasure that a country uses to try to develop and a nationality uses to try to survive. China has lost this treasure.”

(here the Pappies have transformed this our people’s great little nation into their crony Sinchiapor Incorporated – by them & for them: Welcome o you the labourers of the whole wide world!)

  • a PG:

Yes, Simon, many of us would like to know or curious to know how many these foreigners discarded by their home countries became SG citizens and subsequently gave up our citizenship after, perhaps, tasted bitter medicine here. After enjoying good lives here, made alot of money, or the sons were born (NS issues),etc, they started to leave for another countries, same with those foreign sportmen/women as well.

I don’t think we will ever get those answers from the parti against peoples, as negatives will not be revealed, i.e. nothing heard !

Most new citizens would be residing in Singapore in the first 15 years. How do they get PR somewhere else and reside there long enough to get citizenship there during the first 15 years? I think Simon’s first question makes little sense.

pap resorts to so low aka lying cheating stealing fixing OPPO because pap knows those currently voting pap are fickle.

the moment those currently voting pap no job, pay more GST when no job, crowded out everywhere by arrogant caste oriented ceca ah nehs, very soon, sooner than anyone can finish a sneeze, pap is voted out.

the joy is not in New Government. the job is New Government indicting every pap Lj and pap Cb alive or dead just like najib and najib wife and their money chury gang. clap clap clap. heaven has eyes. say what you want.
