Singapore the most Covid-19 infected city outside China

Singapore is now the most infected city outside of mainland China, after the island city announced another 8 confirmed cases of Covid-19 infections. It has also been the most infected country outside of China when its total tally reached 40 since a few days ago.

As of 13th February 2020

Health authorities announced on Thursday (13) that an additional 8 cases of the Covid-19 have been confirmed, bringing the total tally for the island city to 58.

All of the fresh cases are linked to previous cases, with no recent travel history to China.

Mask or No Mask?

Members of the public have yet to be advised by the health authorities to wear a mask, despite many countries with even lesser confirmed infections than the island city have already done so.

However, even if the health authorities decide to issue such an advisory, the island city would not have sufficient masks in stock to sustain the entire population, according to Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong (MOH 30 Jan):

The current rate of consumption of masks in Singapore is not sustainable… especially with the global shortage and the likely export bans.

The authorities have been reluctant to release more information on the amount of masks in its national stockpile while retail masks on the island city have reportedly been sold out, with no indication that it will be replenished anytime soon.

  • Names! Why is gov hiding?:

For simple CPF issue, the gov released full name and personal history. It claims public interest.

For this very infectious issue which is of great public interest, this gov hides names. Heh, are you thinking enough? Now is the time to announce their names.

Then people will know if they have been in contact with them recently. Patients may have all kinds of reason (sexual, romance, illicit, poor memory, etc.)not to provide their full lists of close or near close contacts.

Gov must release names for people to check for themselves.

  • Orange Alert:

SG takes top spot outside of China in number of cases infected by Covid -19, beating HK, Japan and Korea, countries that are closer to China. This increase in daily number is a sign that it is spreading within the community. This should be a matter of “grave” concern for the people as the numbers can mulitply very fast on a small island with 5m people.

The SG government acted the same way as CCP, in total lack of transparency and disregard of the health of the citizens.
It is not at all surprising that our numbers are as high as that of China in relative population.
Our local clowns also sing the same tune, gave the similar excuses and lies, as that of Chinese kleptocrats.

If you have been around long enough, you would have come to term that politicians lie. It’s part of the job.

  • Hsbdhd:

The only solution for now to mitigate the virus crisis temporary is to quarantine the whole SG for 1 or 2 months. Then one by one those that being infected will surface up their symptoms and to be send to the hospital directly. Also by banning china visitors except for PR and Singaporeans from entering into SG. This is the best and only thing that all the countries can do till the vaccine being develop. If not, the crisis will never ends and every day and week sure will have new cases. All the countries must bear with some economy losses in order to save your country and citizens.

The words ‘Public Interest” has been used like a Roti Prata which they can flip in whatever way they like.

Really who defines what is “public Interest” and who determines and decides what is “for” and “against” the Public Interest.

I reckon the words are used to their own convenience as they deemed fit (to hide something or to promote their agenda).

This is as good as Head I Win and Tail you Lose.

There is a Chinese Saying: “人也是你,鬼也是你”. Loosely means, One is a Destroyer (intentionally) as well as (trying to be) the Saviour in the same setup.
