Quick to Wage War on Information but Rather Slow with War on Covid-19

From issuing POFMA’s on government critics to the lack of fair and enquiring journalism in our state media, Singapore is sadly well deserving of it’s rank of 158 out of 181 countries on the Press Freedom Index because of this PAP government.

Let’s look on the bright side however and we don’t have much further to fall to reach the very bottom!….unless of course we unite together and Vote Them Out at the next GE.

Then, together as a nation we can restore the industry of journalism and create deserving careers for those worthy of such a title as ‘journalist’. Simultaneously creating a free market place of discussion and ideas for every Singaporean in the nation.

Main stream media is quick to carry critical articles or air critical programmes of other countries but dare not do the same for SG.

    ST is dead. RIP.

Ministers and PAP MPs know they can utter any nonsense but the MSM won’t take them to task but instead shower them with praise.

For example, everyone can see the Emperor is without clothes but not the MSM.

A new Govt should rescind the POFMA law. The public inquiry into POFMA was a big farce.

Dr M was right when he said such a law can be used to stifle dissent and the opposition.

societies that do not have free ideas and debate will never ever truly prosper except on paper. Look at the result of North Korea, look at how their people are. Brain dead. Just like many singaporeans who look good on paper, in real life they falter or do not significantly contribute to progress of human society. Employers usually do not hire locals now because of their brain dead thinking and education system. The world has changed but singapore has not.

It is so obvious that POFMA is for protecting PAP’s lies and against People’s truth.

I can never understand why in Singapore there are so many graduates of all kind from all over the world and its universities are amount the best, this POFMA is only found in Singapore and no where else!

Are those money spent on these graduates by their parents wasted?

Please lah, tok is cheap…….YOU have YET to show that you can “UNITE TOGETHER” to expose the bankruptcy of the whole system of Govt, including the judiciary.

I have said that I would be a willing witness to give my experience as a LITIGANT IN PERSON and was met with travesties of justice when the CJ asked YOU directly whether you had included the judiciary being made use of by the emperor without clothes, in you appeal for Leong against the striking out of your counter-claim against the emperor without clothes in the latter’s defamation suit against Leong. I have YET to hear from you, Leong Sze Hian etc.

“Together”? Don’t joke lah……or is it just s*ake oil salesmanship?

By the way, I read that you would be challenging the POFFMA order on the issue of Ho Ching’s pay.

I would caution that on the ground thatTemasek Holdings is supposed to be a private company and therefore MOF has no business under PORFMA to issue you with the order, compelling as it is especially in the UK, might not be enough in the SINKaPOOR courts.

YOU frequently complained that the PAPie govt is not carrying enough COVI-19 screening tests without offering any ideas of your own.

As I have mentioned previously, there is a shortage of people to carry out such tests, besides supply problems of getting the reagents and other items needed for the test.

The regime of the emperor without clothes is looking for VOLUNTEERS, even those without experience, to help in taking fluid samples from a person.

If YOU are genuinely concerned, please volunteer as can be seen in the article from Bloomberg, which I am appending below, with the link:

Singapore Seeks Swab Testers, Blood Takers as Virus Cases Grow
    Philip J. Heijmans

Singapore is calling for people to perform nasal swabs and take blood as it ramps up coronavirus testing amid a jump in infections in the city-state.
No prior health-care experience is needed, it says.
The number of new coronavirus cases in Singapore has grown by hundreds each day, mostly in migrant worker dormitories that have become hotbeds for the virus. Now with one of the largest outbreaks in Asia following a resurgence in infections, Singapore is aiming to increase its virus testing by fivefold, from 8,000 to 40,000 a day.
“Healthcare ops support staff” will be trained either to test for the virus, by nasal swabs or through bloodwork, or in administrative and operational support, according to a sign-up form posted online by the Ministry of Health.
They would be deployed to facilities where infected COVID-19 patients are quarantined to administer testing or support other ground operations, including at community isolation facilities, migrant worker dormitories or hospitals.
The “SG Healthcare Corps,” a broader group of health-care and non health-care professionals tasked with providing support in the virus fight, had received more than 11,000 sign-ups as of May 3, Minister of Health Gan Kim Yong told parliament on May 4, the most recent figures available.
“I am heartened by this overwhelming response from Singaporeans,” he said, adding that about 800 applicants had been matched to various roles. Those placed in the program will be remunerated for their time and contribution, he said.
1As of noon on Sunday, Singapore registered 876 new total cases, all but 16 of whom were migrant workers residing in dormitories. Cases in the broader community, however, continue to decline.
Despite an effort to scale up its testing capacity, officials said that Singapore remains committed to an approach to selectively test individuals with symptoms and hasn’t made any major decisions about mass testing. Outlining the nation’s testing strategy, Gan said on Friday that the government is looking to sieve out positive cases, identify close contacts and quarantine them.
As of May 4, Singapore has conducted more than 175,000 swab tests in total for an estimated 30,800 per million in the total population, according to government data. The Ministry of Health said on Sunday that retesting at the National Public Health Laboratory confirmed 33 false positive Covid-19 cases from the laboratory due to an apparatus calibration issue for one of its test kits.
