Post-Election 2020

I read with much concern, of latest developments surrounding the Court cases of political dissidents/Opposition MPs and can’t help but recall the words of the younger Lee siblings alleging “abuse” of various State organs, with the subsequent passionate Parliamentary speech by MP Sylvia Lim to “protect our Institutions before it’s too late”. Is it too late now? Only 12 MPs in the House can answer!

These “resumption” of trials and its adverse decisions arriving after the wake of GE 2020 will no doubt linger in the minds of all voters including PAP ones, if its “business as usual” or a ”permanent change” (for better or worse) as signalled by the PAP itself.

For those born after the millennia, you may just be unaware of how many loyal sons and daughters of our Country who were coerced into exiled and in their void, have filled CECA immigrants who are alien to our Singaporean culture and way of life but have poured into our shores anyway. I’m saddened that 1 more will soon take this path and it’s no ordinary Singaporean but the grandson of our founding father himself! How many more such persecutions need to take place before we deem its enough?

On the AHTC front, it cannot simply be argued that an ‘independent’ party is commencing action against duly elected MPs but such a decision arrived only after numerous saboteurs by the Minister, MND and AGO, culminating in the High Court’s decision to ‘appoint’ these executors who are unelected and whose loyalties we are unable to ascertain?

Going by the words of K. Shanmugam who often utilise election results to ‘justify’ most undue actions of his government, doesn’t recent results in Aljunied scream that residents have lost faith in the Judicial system and are telling the government to back off their Constituency affairs? If anything, residents of Aljunied have reaffirmed their utmost trust in the MPs they voted for who’ve in fact, accumulated surpluses in their TC funds instead.

Therefore, it baffles me much when unelected persons or bodies claiming to either act “in the interest” of residents or interpret “ground sentiment” for elected officials who “feel aggrieved”. Know ye not that a government does not have a reputation to uphold or upkeep?

As opposed to popular belief, I’m from the “Merdeka” Generation and I can tell you my peers are concerned about Justice and Equality for the sake of our children, if not for ourselves. The close results in hotly contested GRCs can attest to that!

Our forefathers have in past time, painstakingly built the fabric of our Nation and trust, incorruptibility has always been the true currency of Singapore but I’m afraid actions of late are not only polarising the entire Country but are also increasingly calling into question, the “impartiality” of our system. We need to give serious thought to this and other pressing issues on our 55th National Day and how we want to shape our population until 2025.

Majulah Singapura and Country above Self!

The problem with PAP is that they are stupid beyond belief and NEVER, EVER learn their lesson. Anything goes wrong they just brush it off and repeat it again. They do not care that people are sick and tired of their old knuckle duster ways and double standards.

So they want to resume the court cases then fine. Should Sylvia and Pritam be found guilty you can bet your HDB that there will be loads of noise over how the verdict was arrived at. And this, in turn, will just lead more people to have less faith and trust in PAP.

So let PAP do whatever they want to do since they only want to listen to themselves. When the opposition grows stronger by the next election and wins even more seats is when PAP will once again be telling us they have to change and all that blah blah blah.

Response :1 more will soon take this path ? Grandson of our founding father himself ? Is that Li Sheng Wu ? Are you sure or not ? Judy Tan must have comntracted a lot of corona virus that affect her brain .Isn’t that court case of Li Sheng Wu already sentenced for a fine of just think $15000 already ? And the judge sentence plus the public prosecutor action is nothing short of surprising .Everything already closed case with $15000 fine which is what I already expected . So Li Sheng Wu can come back already after pay $15000 fine to court .Where got need to go exiled ?

And if you look at another case of that AHTC case think quite remember the figure is $33.7 millions of Sylvia Lim,How Weng Fan misabuse so much public funds also no need to go to jail for the whole thing is classified as a civilian case and not a criminal case when it involved public funds .Imagine how fat some beast women pockets are filled to the full ? And you can understand what type of con people law is our justice system .

SINGAPORE – Mr Li Shengwu said he will pay a $15,000 fine for contempt of court but he does not admit guilt and disagrees that he said anything illegal in a private Facebook post.

Mr Li is the grandson of founding father Lee Kuan Yew and son of Lee Hsien Yang. In a Facebook post on Tuesday (Aug 11), a day before the fine is due, Mr Li wrote that he had decided to pay the fine “in order to buy some peace and quiet”.

“Paying the fine avoids giving the Singapore government an easy excuse to attack me and my family,” he added.

However, Mr Li said “the true scandal is the misuse of state resources to repress private speech”.

“In the course of this three-year prosecution, the Singapore Attorney General’s chambers has written thousands of pages of legal documents, suppressed parts of my defence affidavit, and demanded that I reveal to them all of my friends on Facebook,” he added.

Mr Li, an assistant professor of economics at Harvard University living in the United States, was sentenced to a $15,000 fine after the High Court found him guilty of contempt of court last month.

He was ordered to pay the fine within two weeks or serve a default sentence of one week’s jail.

He was also ordered to pay $8,500 for legal costs and $8,070.69 for disbursements to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC).

Mr Li was found guilty over a 2017 private Facebook post where he wrote that the Singapore Government is “very litigious and has a pliant court system”.

His post also included a link to a 2010 New York Times editorial which criticised his grandfather for running “an authoritarian regime” that cowed critics through libel actions.

Justice Kannan Ramesh found that Mr Li’s post “conveys the meaning that the judiciary is not independent and impartial, and is susceptible to influence or pressure from the Government where legal proceedings are brought by its leaders”.”Unquote .

Response : Who says “the true scandal is the misuse of state resources to repress private speech”.Not me ! It is Li Sheng Wu .

  • Watch Seng Kang GRC handover:

Singaporeans should watch closely the handover of town council matters at Seng Kang GRC to WP. This will likely be a repeat of the MESSY handover of Aljunied GRC because PAP is a poor loser. It is petty and vindictive. It will do anything to “fix” the opposition.

  • PAP is dying:

Shanmugam’s baby, the POFMA, one of the main reason for loss of votes for the PAP. CECA is another thorn for PAP. With these 2, Singaporeans will not trust PAP anymore, as more voters cross over to opposition.

PAP has stated to see the decline and their concept of GRC System has started to backfire them only.

PAP will now try to counter this decline – How ? Simple…. bring in more New Citizens to fill up the voters who have crossed to Opposition. Change the election Boundaries to suit them, hoping to win more votes.

I think its too late. This track is not working. Singaporeans have spoken up.

Opposition parties should stop PAP from increasing new Citizens. PAP must come clean on Singaporean PMET job loses and should also send back all the PRs, who are being turned into new citizens. STOP this PAP. You are killing our children’s future.

  • Points ot ponder:

$2 AIM founded, owned and run by PAP members buying multi million $ software from PAP government for peanut sum (less than $600,000 by GCT’s wife’s) and running PAP Town Councils for $$$.
PAP AMK Town Council GM and its management company and PAP are somehow related – only the insiders know the intricate relationship.
GCT was inside the polling station in a GE in early 1990s when the rule disallows candidate or a non-voter to be within 100m of the polling station. Goh won the election and became the PM – amazing Singapore right?
Many PAP Town Council lost millions of their funds in the 2008/9 Financial Crisis, many if not all PAP MPs of these Town Council continued to be MP and million dollar Ministers. Did anyone or independent party sue these Town Council.
In Singapore, the AG is appointed by and is lawyer for the government, Singapore makes the relationship even more intimate, the AG is PM’s former personal lawyer, Dy AG is PAP former MP that is notorious for bashing Opposition MPs.
In Singapore, AG has the final say to interpret the laws and whether to prosecute or not.
That is why GCT is exonerated from the 100m rule violation.
Oxley 38 – Lawrence Wong informed PM of LHY’s doing despite knowing the conflicts between the siblings, there is no conflict of interest on LW’s part as he is doing his job, reporting to his boss.
No wonder the whistle blowing function of companies or institutions here is “dead”.
We need courageous people like the former NS ag rsm publicly criticize Ivan Lim to make their point across – does whistle blowing work well in an authoritarian society? Only cronies ratting on Opposition and dissidents work!

  • SINGAPOREANS FIRST ALWAYS:

Straits Times: Covid-19 is not going to blow over. Urgent need to remake economy now

A “remake” is indeed necessary. The objective should focus on getting jobs for Singaporeans. This can be easily accomplished by adopting a SINGAPOREANS FIRST policy. To implement it the government should start cancelling the employment pass or work permit of foreigners to force them to go home. Their job in Singapore can be taken by a Singaporean.

A Singaporean First policy is not draconian. Other developed countries (US, UK, Australia, Canada, etc.) have such a policy. Citizens always have priority for jobs. Why should Singapore be different or worse by tilting the job market in favor of foreigners by exempting them from CPF.

    Sure!
Just like at Aljunied GRC -
    immediately remove Admin software,
without proper records, WP MPs “messed up”.
    -
Then file lawsuits on WP MPs.

    All “fixed” – all “done”.

I truly believe PAP especially lhl will change after the rather dismayed GE2020.

Yes, change is due but not the change that Singaporeans would expect.

PAP & lhl will change to be more nasty, more anti-citizens policies, more blacker than black dealings & of course no accountability.

Yes, Singaporeans be prepared for a vengeance lhl & PAP.

“Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins into the ocean, man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man’s life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self ….. History shows that where ethics and economics come into conflict, victory always goes with economics. Vested interests have never been known to have willingly divested themselves unless there was sufficient force to compel them.”
