Using Xenophobia As ‘Defend And Attack’ Strategy

I refer to this article on TodayOnline and found the following statement troubling, “Because what we say cannot be unsaid… And everyone — Singaporeans, new citizens, Singapore-born, others who are here — will all be looking at this.” It looks to me to be a form of attack strategy. It looks like when they have no answers they usually use xenophobia and discrimination to
intimidate opponents into submission.

Massive immigration and conversion of foreigners into PRs and naturalised citizens is now a major concern in the minds of most Singaporeans because they found themselves discriminated at jobs or have lost their jobs to these migrants. I had been to several interviews with these locals who are not home grown and they end up hiring their own natives. It has been becoming obvious that foreign born foreigners or PR or naturalised citizens would prefer to hire their own. This explains why some people are complaining DBS has become an India bank. Although they said they are 80% locals, you know it is made up with huge numbers of naturalised citizens or PRs.

Singapore has the world’s most easy process of approving PR or new citizenship. I had seen so many cleaners who don’t speak a word of English nor educated having PRs cleaning tables at coffee shop. Many of these new locals, PRs or new citizens, they congregate with their own foreign community, they watch Malaysian or India news. This explains the congregation of such communities at Tanjong Rhu, Bayshore, Simei, Paya Lebar Square and Punggol. Most of the newly approved don’t even have background of Singapore history, they only said the pledge once at the new citizenship ceremony to show that they have become Singaporean.

Mr Leong asking why home grown not groomed to take over state enterprise is not wrong. Maybe someone there can tell us after he became executive, did the bank end up hiring more foreigners which went on to become PR or naturalised citizens? If Singapore has created ample jobs for everyone, few will be concerned but these days you have NUS and NTU Degree and Masters instead of being gainfully employed are doing Grab Food Or Panda delivery, this has become a valid concern.

Crying discrimination and Xenophobia may seem to be good to shoot down our valid concern, we local born citizens should not back down and stand firm unless you or your children to end up doing PHV or Grab Food while foreigners who are foreigners, PRs or naturalised citizens eat your cake and being protected by the party who imported and approved them.

  • All, except SG, "xenophobic":

Resorting to “name-calling” like xenophobia is a red-herring. Why? Because all developed countries, except Singapore, give priority to their own citizens for jobs, i.e., “citizens first”.

In Singapore it is the OPPOSITE. The job market is tilted in favour of foreigner by exempting them from CPF making them SIGNIFCANLTY cheaper to employ than Singapore.

Added to the above unfairness is the PAP self-serving “spin” (a.k.a. bullshit) that the foreigner working Singapore are “top (foreign) talent”. Anybody earning only around 4,500 is too junior to be considered “talent”. They are not talent just cheap because their employer doe not have to pay CPF for them.

  • What about free-rider Ivan Lim:

PAP said it would “come back” to the Ivan Lim saga after the elections. tomorrow it will be exactly two months since the last election. Singaporeans are waiting and will not forget the Ivan Lim saga.

Singaporeans are not distracted by Temasek’s “spin” on Liew Mun Leong. It is trying toe get Liew Mun Leong get a “free-ride” on what he did for the country despite the fact he was already handsomely paid for it. Temasek wants Liew Mun leong to get “paid twice”. The first payment is a mountain of cash which he received earlier and the second is a “stay out of jail card” for illegal deployment of maid and coercion of a witness to the latter.

  • Change We Must:

The government has to be very seriously looking to manage the PRs. Mind you one of the policy that makes us very unhappy is the CPF. They are enjoying the same CPF contribution rate as Singaporeans after 3 years as PRS.

But they have the rights to withdraw their CPF fund anytime they leave Singapore but Singaporeans don’t have that rights. Some stay for decades, why? They are enjoying the benefits better than their home country. Our government should implement levy or whatever policies for the PRs who have overstayed. We only need those where their skills we cannot find in Singaporeans.

That said, there must also be a succession plan to Singaporeans for foreigners or PRs who are employed here because of their special skills.

  • Harder Truths:

Are those FT that come here not xenoophobic? Do they not defend and expand their own country and culture in the work and home spaces? When 99% of a company are from the same country is that not xenophobic? When they do not have anything to do wit h$G locals and create their own colonies is that not xenophobic?

I could go on – but what is the point? Only $G people are xenophobic. The FT are just demonstrating their ‘culture’.

Do not forget. New citizens will vote for PAP throughout their lives.
They are forever indebted to the PAP. Why not?
Use your pea brain. If by becoming a new citizen I have a good job,
a roof over my head, can bring my love ones here or send money to my
hometown, why will I not vote for PAP now and forever?

    @ Change We Must

CPF ROBBED US TWICE – first it is NOT our money and secondly that ‘theft” of our money robbed us of wage competitiveness vis-a-vis foreigners.

  • Billy ma:

The message that PAP especially lhl is that insults can be thrown at Singaporeans but never to foreigners.

According to lhl & his PAP cronies Singaporeans must be told off & be labelled to put us in our rightful place.

Lhl & PAP long term plan for the country is totally dependant on foreigners.

And if Singaporeans had not realise this yet then our future is already being lost.

Even till today, PAP continue to propagate about allowing more foreigners to take out the citizens.

PAP may say ‘quality not quantity’, this does not prevent PAP to justify that ‘it so happen that there’re so many quality foreigners ‘
So you have it – PAP will still continue to bring in large quantities of foreigners & label them as ‘quality’.

You people are screwed one way or another.

  • Discrimination and Xenophobia:

Discrimination and Xenophobia are the two most words used to put down arguments. It stigmatizes the victims and by making the victims feel guilty of an act the victims has not actually committed (at least there is no concrete proof). It is sad to see that many politicians are using it as a political tool.

aiyoh. daft sinkies are trained to be welcoming in the first place – believing the koyok loud narrative (about talents or half-baked talented) of the white idiots with consequences which will undermining themselves (in terms of jobs opportunities and building skillsets and competence) ??

FTs do not have this burden (brainwash mode of welcoming people not of your kind) of needing to accommodate daft sinkies if there is no law on quota or strict restrictions to bear on them ?? in fact, FTs are smart and will be laughing all the way with all the loud cue (all the noise) from the white monkey idiots in promoting their worth while at the same making seemingly making defeatist remark on worth of daft sinkies excepting the white monkey idiots themselves ???

the white idiots and gang are just too protected (ownself-check-ownself and ownself-protect-ownself) in their own silos that they do not really understand the ground situation for the average daft sinkies ? even we have many generals helming senior ministarial position, somehow they are still yes men to some alpha white monkey idiots who pulling on the strings ???

meaning saying wayang things in order not to unnerve FTs and gang (so that these FTs can still feel shiok shiok like what daft sinkies used to be ‘fooled’ in the past ???) while really start implementing rectifying policies to salvage the situation for the average daft sinkies. hahahahaha.

  • SOLUTION: send foreigners home:

In an economic downturn there are more job seekers than jobs avalaible because employers will “downsize” (retrench staff) to cut cost.

The FAST, EFFECTIVE and ONLY REAL solution to help Singaporeans in a downturn (not foreigners) is to take jobs away from foreigners by cancelling their work visa so Singaporean can take over their job.

    Singaporeans First. Always.

  • Iswaran talking cock. Again:

Staits Times: Growth of deep tech sector means exciting career opportunities for Singaporeans: Iswaran

Exciting for Indians who will come to Singapore under CECA to take most of the opportunities in the deep tech sector. They are should thank Heng Swee Keat for being a “bad negotiator”. He “left so much on the table” for India.
HSK is just a civil servant and did not have the “smarts” gained from working in the private sector. Being PPS to LKY does not make a person smart only “spineless”.

  • Mother of hire own kind:

Having worked in IT in my entire life, I have observed Indians hire own kind is most severe – no others stand close.

I have yet seen them create world/South East Asia top IT or Tech companies in India, Singapore, US, Dubai, UK except ITO/BPO which are manpower outsourcing.

No top companies, no good productivity, etc why not get others (Grab, Lazada, Shopee, etc) who can?

  • Get cracking and start work:

I have always said creating short term internship jobs for displaced local PMETS is not a solution. These guys are probably in the 40′s with outstanding housing loans, a family to take care of, some with elderly parents to support as well. How are they going to survive on an internship salary ? The right solution must be to look into the growing pool of displaced local PMETs, match their skills and experience with existing jobs held by foreigners, and if found suitable force the cancellation of some of these foreigners’ EP or SP. These guys who have stolen our lunches must be forced to return our lunches. The kpkb is getting louder by the day as more and more companies start downsizing. Better ACT NOW, don’t wait until the camel’s back is broken !!!
