CEO of Temasek International’s comments on Liew Mun Leong

Mr Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara

Mr Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, CEO of Temasek International has commented that Liew Mun Leong has contributed to Singapore and that Singaporeans should hear his side of the issue too.

I disagree. Let me explain.

The learned High Court judge, Chan Seng Onn, has heard Liew Mun Leong and his son’s side of their stories under oath alearly and he has delivered his judgement. That should be enough of the Liew’s story telling.

In Singapore, everybody contributes in their different ways to Singapore. Liew Mun Leong is not alone and not unique. Furthermore, his contributions aren’t free.

One very important reason why even until today, people still remember fondly and think highly of our first generation old guard leaders is because when anybody, even somebody from among their ranks broke any laws, they faced the music alone. The establishment then didn’t muster any resources or connections to cover up, defend or protect their own kind or kakilang and we should never, never fall short of that level of impartiality and high standard if we wish to scale greater heights in our achievements and strengthen our nation building journey.

Wee Toon Boon paid with jail time for his corruption. Teh Cheang Wan paid with his life for corruption. The late pap law minister EW Barker and former pap MP Chan Soo Sen were charged and fined for drink driving offences in case anybody forgets and NTUC’s Phey Yew Kok finally got 60 months jail time for CBT etc.

Regarding Liew Mun Leong and his former maid theft case, too many people are following its developments closely. Liew Mun Leong and his family are people with much resources and means and totally capable of defending themselves.

Temasek or any companies or organisations related to Liew Mun Leong, past and present, shouldn’t get involved in any way. Contributions, character and crimes are completely different things and people shouldn’t be confused. Think.

  • This is Singapore:

    Maybe they are protecting Singapore.
If they don’t protect these people, what if top secrets are spilled out?
We may lose our indispensable PAP Ministers, we already lost Lee Kuan Yew and Ng Chee Meng, oops, wrong, Ng Chee Meng is still around, just not a Cabinet Minister, still indispensable as NTUC Chief.
Remember the 200m within polling station incident in 1997 GE, we almost lost our dearest Goh Chok Tong as PM thereafter after he was “caught” inside the polling station.
The AG wrote to PAP Law Minister and said it is all right to be inside the polling station, no case, case closed.

For f**k sake, why this DPS need to open his big mouth to curry this LML? You smell a rat?
He said “ Singaporean should listen to his side of the issue” Had this DPS heard LML’s story?
Does this DPS thinks that Justice Chan made a mistake? so needs LML to tell his story?
If LML is guilty as found, should LML remain in Temasek even though he is dishonest?
So please DPS, please let the public know what is your real intention of making this comment.

Can LML or AG appeal Justice Chan’s judgement?

Can Justice Chan’s decision be overturned?

    Hope not.

Tech: Technically they (AGC) can ask for a review in the interest of the public or based a point of law (remember Kong Hee’s and CHC case?). For the accused, it is game over but for AGC, they can enter Justice’s chamber by the back door, if I am not wrong.

It is absolutely wrong to not let LML say his piece. That is a basic courtesy that must be extended to everyone, including LML, and even in these circumstances.

But having said that, if the Court of Appeal is to be believed, LML must apologise and step down. Nothing else is going to suffice.

LML and his family went way too far.

Mod: Liew will have his day in court and say many pieces when he is charged in a court of law.

  • Harder Truths:

I think this guy knows a LOT of naughty secrets. If he gets upset, moves to another country and publishes these naughty secrets it will be bad for the clown party, Very very bad. So bad they may cry in parleement – again.

That’s why he cannot go to jail or be touched .He, like others who know too much – are protected no matter what.

The Regime must keep its secrets no matter what. He will therefore be protected no matter what.

  • Hi Dilhan:

Sometimes, it is better to keep quiet, like your boss Ho CHing.
Your boss’ husband, also your boss’ boss’ boss says all the people in Singapore contribute to Singapore and should be treated equally, something like that. I presume that include foreign domestic helpers too.
Liew Mun Leong got paid millions of $$$$$ in return for his services, in your words, contributions.
It is all in his pay package and perks.
How many bungalows and condo units does he own?
It was reported he and his daughter bought 2 condo in the early 2000s and he and his son bought 2 units in Interlace condo for over $6 million. How old was his daughter then?
It is not being jealous of the rich buying private properties for their children.
It is not just about social mobility for the rest, it is about social equity and justice.
Are the rich trying to avoid taxes, duties, ABSD, etc?
Maybe Mr Liew even owns a company that buys and sells properties and pay minimal “taxes”. Many wealthy people do that.
Please think over what I say.

  • inside is not within:

aiyoh. inside is not within lar ? so no case lar ?? sometimes even our intelligent talented white idiots can conveniently forget the meaning of ‘substance over form’ (the spirit or intention of the law or wayang law) ?

maybe the learned (bua-tan-sai ????) jark did not know that you need to be within a place first before magically appearing to be inside a place when the ‘inside’ and ‘within’ share a common boundary leh ??? unfortunately, the white monkey idiots have taken much trouble to train the whole sinkie land to be very daft so that this kind of wayang is quite alright and acceptable ???

  • PAP guaranteed to lose:

Googled his name and the media describe him
    as Indian-origin.

    What Pillay said is disgraceful.

In the UK, the law is applied without fear or favour whether you are a famous footballer, an MP, PM, a decorated war hero, a duke or even a prince.

No such rubbish as oh he has contributed so much.

    PUI!!

“Singaporeans should hear his side of the issue too.” Poor thing, the court did not hear his side of the story!!

“Temasek or any companies or organisations related to Liew Mun Leong, past and present, shouldn’t get involved in any way.” This is called protecting each other. One day some one else in these organisations might need Liew Mun Leong involvement for saying some good words too!!

Liew Mun Leong may not be the only “witch” in these organisations!!

  • His comment, read prc ind rpt:

Having compare the I n PRC reports on the boundary report, the comment is just like farting. He has shown irreconcilable humilation of the Bench. His insinuation of the integrity of our judge should be instantaneously rectified before any such polanpa spewing such nonsence on our bench of judges with super duper integrity. Simon has peed on the wrong tree.

If pap doesn’t sack him in killing the bird to warn the monkeys well described by Late Rajaratnam in his monkey see mokey do Before any further fakes being crated. Minister POFma where art thou hiding? R u only protecting yourself n not the judiciary system?

Justice Chan, AG Lucien why so quiet? Show them what judiciary in Singapore really is or silence means admission?.

What a pathetic person Dhilhan Pillai has revealed himself to be. So different rules and laws should apply just because you come from Temasek ? What a farcical statement. If this is the quality of Temasek’s Int. CEO then I worry for our nation’s funds. Imagine what else they think they are entitled to and how much have they acted on it.

  • Sack Sandrasegara:

Mr Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, CEO of Temasek International should be sacked. He says LML “contributed to the country” but does NOT mention he was handsomely paid for it. Dilhan expects maid-fixer LML to get a “free pass”. As a lawyer, he knows better than to mislead with “half-truths”. He is obviously doing the shit work for his boss at Temasek.
