Transfer to new OPPO phone

I bought a new OPPO phone.
I have to transfer the data and apps from the old phone to the new phone.
I had trouble.
I went to Oppo website and entered a live chat.
The service from Oppo is excellent!
The help staff responded to me immediately.
He advised me to use the Clone Phone app in the old phone and the new phone.
It worked well.
I commend Oppo for their excellent customer service.
I did not have to wait for someone to attend to me.
I do not have to go through all types of troublesome process to get help.
Their service beats the customer service of most large organizations that I deal with.
The most troublesome organizations are the government agencies in Singapore and the large commercial companies in Singapore.
These troublesome organizations should learn from the process used by Oppo.

The customer hotlines I used often in China are broadband, mobile phone number, banking, and courier service. The waiting time to have someone talk to you is within 1-2 minutes. That’s very fast compared to Singapore ones which very often ask me choose option after option and >15 minutes still no response. Also, Chinese customer officers are more professional which one of the reasons could be they are speaking their mother tongue (I have option to choose English) clearly articulate the instructions or problem resolution unlike our customer officers.

CUSTOMER SERVICE in Govt and most big organisations are just parasitic fringe to buffer their hosts from difficult and embarrassing challenges of their constituent/customer base.
They work from the culture of -DON’T COMPLAIN, DON’T ASK AND WE WON’T EXPLAIN insensitivity.
If all else fails of foiling these irritating intrusions from legitimate aggrieved sources, customer service will simply resort to gibberish malarkey.
They know almost all aggrieved customers can’t afford or have the luxury of time to sue. Their bureaucratic and corporate structure behind them is like Mount Everest cliff to climb.
They also know they are paid for the job and you (unpaid probably) will be exhausted of time and patience to last.
So if you can’t get a fair hearing and outcome, stay the course, persist on and pray that a settlement offer will come your way.

Response : I once thought Oppo is a Philippines brand phone and Vivo is an India brand phone .Though I do find both Oppo and Vivo are pretty good phone previously,I still purchased Huawei which seem to have a better quality and response at that point of time.However, think since Huawei mate 30 pro or so later no longer have either Goggle support or Android 10 support(if I remember correctly), a lot of apps cannot be used,so I no longer will consider Huawei mate 30 pro or later version .Think mate 30 is the last Huawei phone still supported by Goggle (again if I remember correctly) .Huawei is a good brand but its b**$* woman CFO is engagged with America court ,and waiting to be extradited to America for trial (if I remember correctly).

we are generally Xiaomi but as long as it is not pap Singapore, the service is great.
we were very young and during NSF were introduced to DBS. it was so bad we all went with UOB.
we now are back with DBS. because UOB, ever since son took over, is a large pile of shit worse than previous DBS.
we are with BOC for the big dollars. DBS is for the small dollars. since we buy mostly via Internet from overseas, we deal more and more with non pap companies or companies in pap island such as UOB.

(3) Has PAP been “open and transparent” on anything?

I notice recently writings seems to be promoting all things from China.
From Oppo hand phones (Chinese products), Chinese communist 1 party system, use of digital currency (China first to move to digital yuan), China National People’s Congress (parliament) representative system.
China system is not good for SG and is not good for the world.
Chinese handphones spy on you, SG herself is suffering from ills of a 1 party system. The other day, Iswitch customer service call me to renew my contract, she was talking as if in Tagalog, her English is atrocious, I dont understand what cork she was talking. So I asked her to slow down and enunciate, then I realise I can understand more. She was quite corky when she talked to me about that it will be automatically renewed, so I told her sorry buddy, good bye to Iswitch.
I am not sure why all our call centre are manned by Indians or Pinoys who speak atrociously. And PAPPY insist they speak better than local!!!

Today I called Alipay’s hotline at 95188 because I have to re-activate my account as the health code apt on Alipay is required to travel between cities in China. I am scheduled to travel to Shanghai next month for official purpose.
The Alipay account was a stagnant (suspended) account as I have been using my wife’s Alipay account for all online and daily purchases as it was more convenient for her to link a bank account than for a foreigner. Foreigner need to go through hell to have a bank account with plenty of paperwork and restrictions.
Anyway, to cut matters short, an operator picked up the phone and listened to my problem and sent me an email to verify my identity. The entire conversation took less than 3 minutes and the email was received within another minute.
I managed to reactivate my account within a total of 5 minutes. How’s that for service?

Our CPF got stuck. LKY promised that we can withdraw at age 55.
HDB prices are increasing like nobody business. Cost of medical treatment in Singapore is really expensive. Prices of Food is also increasing like mad. Local PMETs are being retrenched and now driving PHV or delivering food.
Petrol prices also increase. GST will be increasing very soon. Salary have also been cut. Many locals are unemployed. Foreigners keep on coming into Singapore to take our jobs.
Ministers and top civil servants are paid by the millions. Their salaries have not been cut at all.
