What a disaster and a bad joke our MRT has become!
Another disruption on the Circle Line yesterday. How many disruptions must ordinary Singaporeans endure while having to foot the ever increasing fares? Another 6% increase in a few days!
Meanwhile,the management of SMRT aren’t having to suffer the inconveniences of the ordinary commuters as they enjoy their fat salaries and drive around in their luxury cars!
SMRT has shown itself to be incompetent in operating our train system and if I were the government, I would have removed them as Operators many years ago!

Yes SMRT not the best candidates to run a public rail.
What’s more ridiculous, at 3 am to 4 am, maintenance trains run very noisily along the clementi stretch. Today the commuter trains seem noisier than before.

In addition to the maitiance issues there is the rising danger associated with the use of the public transportation systems in general. While we hear and read about the muggings and actual gruesome deaths on some of the US systems, here in Singapore it is getting more dangerous than there in one respect. These incident we read about happening don’t the US systems are once aboard, hear the danger is getting on board! Cycleists charging through bus stops while paying passengers get on and off the busses, while busy commuters exit or enter the MRT stations, cyclists charging through and there are incidents on a daily basis of injury and countless incidences of assaulting the paying public. There has to be something done! All cycleists should be should be required to come to a full stop while any bus is in the bay area, while it is entering or exiting, no movement in front of or behind the stop. There should be no riding in front of MRT station enterences or exits for at least 50 meters each side, dismoune and push, finbe the same as the smoke free parkes, up to $2000 for non compliance and it should be enforced. As it is now these signs are a joke and even the youngsters are disregarding them. This woke cycling laws has created a whole new class of elite, they can go anywhere, do anything, inguine and assault people without accountability, it is a jungle attitude!
