Dear Straits Times, I refer to the 3 May 2011 letter by Ms Shauna Loh. Ms Loh claims that Singapore was one of the first countries to rebound from the latest crisis. Actually, all of East Asia rebounded fairly quickly. She says that diligence and hard work led to absolute stability and security. Not true. 2009 was recession... 

Many people will vote for the PAP eventually because they believe that the PAP has brought us to where we are today and has given us the prosperity that we enjoy today. It's true that everyone makes mistakes. But you apologise for your mistakes sincerely whereas PAP will not even admit mistake but will push the blame to everyone else but itself. They only apologise during the elections to save themselves. They are not sincere in their apologies. It's not that we expect perfection from ministers...
