50% of Singaporean households have absolute faith in the ruling party to look after their well-being

It appears that about 50% of Singaporeans households have absolute faith in the ruling party to look after their well-being, opting not to collect the free “4-per-household”  masks allocated to them.

The People’s Association (PA) revealed that s of Sunday (9 Feb), only about 54% of the 1.37 million households on the island city have collected their free masks, possibly because the ruling party had advised members of public to not wear a mask unless one is ill”.

With 45 confirmed infections to date, the health authorities have continued to advise members of the public to “not wear a mask if you are well”, despite the fact that “community spread” infections have occured.

Be that as it may, those households whom have swallowed the propaganda bait, hook and sinker will have time to repent as the ruling party has decided to extend the deadline for the collection of surgical masks till February 29. Originally, the masks were supposed to be distributed from February 1 to 9.

Households whom have yet to collect their free masks may do so at 89 community centres (CCs) or clubs and 654 residents’ committee centres (RCs) islandwide. The masks can only be collected once per household and those collecting will have to bring along their identity card (NRIC).

Meanwhile PM Lee Hsien Loong took to Facebook to address the concerns of those who were unable to get their hands on masks at retail stores islandwide.

He explained that although 5 million masks have been sent out to retailers in the last 9 days, the demand turned out to be higher than anticipated “given the recent rush all over Singapore to buy them”.

“The Ministry of Health, Singapore has advised that we only need to wear a mask if we are sick”, he reiterated, “There is no need to wear a mask if we are well.”

The Prime Minister then urge members of the public to heed the MOH advisories on when you should use a mask and how to properly handle one.

Ensuring good personal hygiene and being socially responsible are our best protection against the virus.

The island city currently has reported 2 additional cases of Coronavirus infections on Monday (10 Feb),  bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 45. Of which 7 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Well my family has not even bothered to go collect the masks, it’s not that we believe in PAP’s nonsense.

While there have been more cases reported I’m dead sure we see people all around us on public transport as well as our workplaces mostly not wearing masks.

If you are going to be infected then you are going to be infected lah, you can’t run away one. I believe most people use common sense and some precaution to avoid others who are coughing and sneezing.

Because if we really believe in PAP’s nonsense then those who bought a whole load of masks must be a small minority indeed seeing as most people walking about aren’t wearing one.

  • Very derisory offer:

4 masks per household? How derisory.
Singaporeans (50%) are smart not to be caught taking up this very derisory offer.

Somemore, the offer says you must fall sick before wearing.

CNY period, you know? Who wants this kind of sick offer?

  • Cheapo:

6 cents per surgical mask, let’s count it as 10 cents per mask since its from the PAPi [markup king].

    4 X 10 cents = 40 cents.

Bloody time and journey already cost more than 40 cents.

50% of the citizens have got the common sense in them and could very well be very tired or pretty much disappointed with the PAP insincerity in giving out 4 miserable masks and condition it to collect at CCs instead of sensibly posting by mail to every households since it will also mitigate unnecessary exposure and risk due to collection crowding.

Would you call it as caring for citizens or as silly cheap, pathetic, shameless propaganda?

KNN, I’m not falling into the cheap tricks and want no doing with the PAP anymore.

40 cents and pay $8,000 GST Tax per year to them? KNN Cheapo.

  • REGIME CHANGE is the solution:

Straits Times: Coronavirus: 2 new cases in S’pore, including Certis officer who had served quarantine orders on 2 who tested positive

Certis officer was likely following MOH advise. He was not wearing a mask when he served quarantine order because he was not sick.

Following PAP advise can be risky and harmful for your health because they make big mistakes. Remember you cannot vote for REGIME CHANGE if you are dead.

    pap likes to BS.

pap says landslide support since 54% collected (actually 53.49%).

pap does not say 46% (actually 46.51%), about half of the households, do not support pap.

that is why everyone in coffee shop, although disappointed by GE2015 results, are very hopeful because all it takes is just 20.01% of 70% sheep to turn and voila pap clown and pap clown wife and their S$m thieving clan of Ljs and Cbs shall be indicted by New Government.
