  • I would be lying if I say I am surprised by the rapid increase in local infections rate. Even if the number of infections hit another 1000 within a week, I also wouldn’t be surprised at all.

With the most basic of protection against infection (mask) being discouraged, what can we expect?

God bless sinkies and foreign talents.

Oh-ho-ho! Karma has arrived before GE!

Covid-19 cases have been steadily climbing since the release of the EBRC report on 13 March. So who is still insisting on a GE? Talk GE some more and cases will shoot up 2 folds in the next couple of weeks.

Actually holding a GE now could backfire for the pap and result in people voting for a change of the govt bcoz people are beginning to see an incompetent govt in the present one.

It’s about life and death. People will not be afraid to vote for change if they see that the present leaders are unable to save the people. We’ve PSP’s Dr Tan Cheng Bock and we’ve SDP’s Professor Tambyah waiting to serve the people. They can definitely do a much better job than the present useless and clueless Health minister.

So how, pm? Still wanna call for a GE now and give people a chance to vote for change?

SINGAPORE – A new coastal and flood protection fund, with an initial injection of $5 billion, will be set up to help protect Singapore against rising sea levels, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat said on Tuesday (Feb 18).

The fund will be topped up subsequently “whenever our fiscal situation allows”, he said.

He noted that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in his National Day Rally speech last August that $100 billion or more may be needed over 100 years to protect Singapore against rising sea levels caused by climate change.

Mr Heng said: “This is a major fiscal outlay in the coming years – so it is right and prudent that we set aside resources for this.”.

Singapore must have the resolve to deal with this existential threat of rising sea levels….. “Unquote.

Response :Now our Singapore country needs money for survival. Flooding from rising sea level is not an immediate danger and may be decades away. So it is no point setting this new coastal and flood protection fund with initial capital injection of $5,000,000,000 now. I am sure our government cannot be so stubborn to stick to such $5,000,000,000 fund plan and not make changes when situation changes!
