China orders lockdown of Jia county in Henan province

Authorities in China have ordered the lockdown of a small county, near the city of Ping Ding Shan (平顶山) in the Henan province (河南).

Jia county (郏县), with a population of about 600,000 was locked down on Tuesday (31 Mar), after tests conducted on 4 of its medical workers at a local hospital and a related member of public confirmed Covid-19 infections.

According to the Jia county’s notice, all non-essential businesses are to be shut down, except utilities, medical suppliers, logistics companies and food processing firms.

All residents are to remain at home and those who wishes to leave must have special permits, have their temperature taken and wear face masks for those trips.

In addition, only people with special permits can go to work and cars can only be used on alternate days, depending on their plate numbers being odd or even.

Prior to the lockdown on Tuesday, local authorities have already began preparing residents, urging them to stock up on vegetables and daily necessities to prepare for the isolation, adding that each family could also assign one member to go out for groceries once every two days.

According to official reports on the situation, the first case was confirmed on Saturday (28 Mar) while the remaining 3 cases were confirmed on Sunday (29 Mar).

The first confirmed case was a doctor named Liu, who had returned to the county from Wuhan in January. He had isolated himself for 2 weeks before resuming work at the local hospital, the report said.

Unfortunately the 2 weeks self-isolation was ineffective and he remains asymptomatic, infecting 2 of his colleagues in the process of his work and a classmate.

Doctor Liu only began to exhibit symptoms end March and subsequently tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, further tests conducted on his colleagues and close contacts confirmed 3 more infections on Sunday.

Meanwhile, all traffic will be barred from leaving or entering Jia county, with the exception of essential supplies. It is believed that the county would remain in lockdown status for at least 2 weeks.

Currently, Henan province has registered a total of 1276 confirmed cases with 22 deaths, 1251 have been discharged from hospital.

Response: see peh Dio! the recent hype and ramming up propaganda exercise of holding a ERECTION amid the current pandemic By Mai Hum and Gang May cause serious damage to some of his TOP male colleagues. Mai Hum aside, too much of ERECTION for too LOONG for his TOP GUNS with NO DEFINITE and PRECISE OUTCOME, may cause permanent damage to their LIBIDO! So it will be ERECTION first before LOCKDOWN! What do you think?

That could be the reason for no lockdown.

HomeNewsWuhan Wet Market Reopens, Wild Animals for Sale
    News…..
    by Indonesia ExpatApril 1, 2020…..

After the lockdown in China, which lasted for two months, was lifted, Huanan market in Wuhan, has restarted operations and is selling wild animals again.
Local authorities have allowed the re-opening of the animal market which is thought to be the original source of the novel coronavirus.

The market returned to the business on Monday 30th March 2020, after the country reported no new cases of the disease for six consecutive days. Thousands of shoppers returned to the market after the lockdown regulation was lifted.

The wild animal market usually sells bats – the animal currently believed to be the original host of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 – along with scorpions, rats, dogs, and cats. Some of the wild animals sold there are intended to be used in traditional medicine, according to investigations conducted by The Mail on Sunday.

Rabbits and ducks are slaughtered on a dirty stone floor, while dogs and cats wait in cages to be sold as food. In another animal market in the south of Dongguan City, a medicinal salesperson was back in business and advertising bat meat……. “Unquote.

Response :So the wuhan wild animals market re-opens. If wuhan virus expands near the wuhan markets again, then it is most likely that wet market is the cause for wuhan virus. If minimum wuhan virus appear, and all those wuhan people are still healthy, then wuhan virus may not come from wuhan but maybe carry into wuhan by some hatred foreign animal lovers who wants to destroy wuhan wet matkets, who knows?

Reported on TOC Website :Quote – “Chinese students fleeing virus face uneasy reception back home
The Online Citizen by The Online Citizen 2020-04-03
    ……

    by Laurie Chen

Chinese students flying home from overseas to escape the coronavirus pandemic face a frosty reception from sections of the public who view them as wealthy, spoiled — and potentially contaminated.

The number of officially reported cases in China has dwindled dramatically over the last month, but the country is now taking drastic steps to try and stem a second wave of infections brought in from abroad.

With most international flights cancelled and nearly all foreigners barred from entering the country, the vast majority of returnees are Chinese nationals, including many students.

The situation has exposed animosities over class and privilege in Chinese society, fuelled by online posts stereotyping returning students as ungrateful and even dangerous — using the irresponsible behaviour of a few individuals as proof.

“Right now, public opinion in China is very unfriendly towards Chinese overseas students, and quarantine facilities there are mixed,” said Hestia Zhang, a master’s student at Yale University…..
She has decided to stay in self-isolation on campus rather than go back, despite the United States now accounting for almost a quarter of reported global infections.

“There are also a lot of risks on the journey home, so I might as well stay here and wait it out,” she told AFP.

Meanwhile Cathy, who landed in China on Tuesday morning, is resigned to the fact that she may encounter prejudice. Using her English name to conceal her identity, she said she had “no choice but to bear it”.

Nearly half of China’s 800 imported virus cases are overseas students.

Most returnees need to spend two weeks in isolation, and a widely shared video of a returned student who tried to escape her quarantine accommodation in the city of Qingdao has prompted outrage online.

    ‘China-hating wretches’
A similar angry reaction met clips showing another returnee angrily demanding bottled mineral water from quarantine facility workers in Shanghai.

“They eat food from our bowl, yet turn on the motherland as soon as they stop eating. We don’t need to take them back,” wrote one user, garnering thousands of likes…. “Unquote.

Response :Now, all those rich, China Chinese women wretches are returning back to China because the coasts on the other foreign soils are worse! What about Singapore beasts Chinese women returning from overseas back to Singapore? Got welcome stay at Six star Singapore Hotel resort as quarantine or not? Singapore e*** PAP women wing will be welcoming them back, no doubt as and spending more public funds on such shits.
