Time to seriously consider a lockdown of Singapore

I think the authorities should now seriously consider a lockdown of Singapore. Community spread seems to have taken hold and is increasingly serious.

Cannot lah, Andrew. PAP minister says a lockdown is not a “magic solution”. Our pap govt is looking for the “magic solution”! Still gambling with people’s lives while they’re still looking….. still searching….. still guessing what is the perfect “magic solution”.

The HARD TRUTH is that PAP,LHL and the team under Lawrence Wong have NO FUCKING IDEA of how to contain and fight the epidemic. They are looking for the MAGIC solutions when there is none. SHUT DOWN is the best solutions Singapore has.I agree that shut down is not a magic bullet but it the best solution at this point in time.Shut down the casinos, food court schools and all non essential places.Make eating out be only take away. Encourage the wearing of mask.
I predicted that SIngapore will have high numbers of corona cases but a 1000 cases for a population of 5.6 million is on the high side. And the moron LHL is TALKING COCK about having a GE in the middle of an epidemic. If the GE were to take place now the cases will BALLON to 3000 -5000.It will BREAK SINGAPORE’s healthcare system.
I for one will SACK the present team under Lawrence Wong and put in place a Team of non PAP minister who are independent of LHL. If thinks continue as they are Singapore IS DOOMED.LKY is NOT AROUND TO SAVE SINGAPORE.
    Let common sense prevail.

The 102 year old is a goner for sure a THANKS TO LAWRENCE WONG,LHL and the Team. For once I am glad I have left SIngapore.Singapore is not save anymore under LHL not like the days of his father LKY. LKY for all his bad side had an iron will and was willing to make heads roll if things fail.
Under LHL all PAP minister ARE PROTECTED and have IRON RICE BOWL.

  • never voted pap:

when Orange was declared in early Feb, the borders should have been closed.

pap thinks closing borders mean lower GDP number. so kept borders open.

as Wuhan virus runs like clockwork, sooner and no later imported infections rise.

after over a month, closing borders no longer effective due to cross infections. OVER a MONTH. golden period wasted.

all for the sake of ensuring GDP number is not affected.

such S$m money faced pap cocks and pap hens. only 70% sheep votes for them. all kenna together. clap. clap. clap.

  • Be effective:

Need to do more since there is community spread and 1000 Covid-19 cases now.
    Better be safe than sorry.
Everybody should do their part.Take all precaution recommended.
If wearing masks helps to reduce the spread, get our GLC factories to produce the masks here fast.
Time for our public funded Scientist and Engineers in the various Centres of Excellence do their parts for Singapore .
Saving lives is more important now.

What about trains and buses? If crowds are allowed to pack in them, it just makes the call for safe distancing a joke!

“The Multi-Ministry Taskforce will be implementing an elevated set of safe distancing measures, as a circuit breaker to pre-empt the trend of increasing local transmission of COVID-19. The aim is to reduce much more significantly movements and interactions in public and private places. To do this, we will move towards full home-based learning for our schools and close most physical workplace premises, save for those providing essential services and in selected economic sectors which are critical for our local and the global supply chains. Work and business activities that can be carried out via telecommuting from home should continue.” – MOH

Still not calling it a lockdown. It is an elevated set of safe distancing measures, as a circuit breaker. The series of brakes not working. Hopefully this” circuit breaker” measure will work.
