We Should Be Going Into A Virtual Lockdown For At Least 3 Weeks!

The numbers are truly shocking and it is quite evident to Peoples Voice that there is now widespread transmission of the coronavirus. It cannot be suggested with any credibility that transmission is limited.

Out of the 49 new cases reported on Thursday, 41 were local cases! And there were 3 new clusters with Mustafa being one of them. Let’s just imagine how many people could have come into close proximity or contact with those infected, who were at Mustafa.

We won’t be telling Singaporeans that there is limited transmission of the disease when school children are starting to get infected, when a bus driver, employees in HDB branches etc have been infected. These people were not confined to a particular region of Singapore but come from and worked in all parts of Singapore.

In the last 2 months, the World has come to realise the dangers of asymptomatic carriers of the disease transmitting it to others.

It is clear We cannot continue with these Baby steps and a series of “brakes” being applied any longer, because the numbers are increasing every day and the curve is not flattening.

We need to go into a virtual lockdown for at least 3 weeks with minimal movement allowed for people to go out to buy food and carry out essential activities. Other than that, everyone should stay home and schools must be closed without any more delay! Many people would still be able to work from home. Only the essential services should be allowed to continue during the lockdown.

We are not bothered by the colour category which the PAP would like to describe such a move. Let them call it DORSCON RED if they want to. What is clear to Peoples Voice is that we are in an emergency situation and we must cut the legs off this virus! No more the reactive steps which the Incompetent Taskforce have taken so far.

If we do this now, We are confident that in 3-4 weeks, the curve would have flattened significantly, and and everyone in this Nation would be feeling much more relieved.

Peoples Voice will never gamble with the health or safety of our People because We Put People First!

  • PAPVID-20:

Since the start of the first Covid-19 case in sg in Jan …..

    - PV has advised people to wear mask but our pap govt says “no need to wear mask unless unwell”.
    - PV has asked for our schools to be closed but Education minister and pm insisted it’s not necessary.
    - PV has suggested “work from home” measures but MOM dragged its feet until last week when they see Covid-19 cases rising.
    - PV has repeatedly suggested a lockdown but apparently “LOCKDOWN” is a taboo to the pap.

Now, 2 months later when sg has reached 1114 Covid-19 cases,

    - the pap says they no longer discourage people from wearing mask.
    - the education minister has decided to close schools.
    - the pap govt says all work places must close except those in the essential services.
    - pm still refused to call it a lockdown. They call it the pap way – a Circuit Breaker!

LKY : “There will come a time when eventually the public will say, look, let’s try the other side, either because the PAP has declined in quality or the opposition has put up a team which is equal to the PAP and they say, let’s try the other side. That day will come.”

Yes, that day will come and it’ll be very soon.

Still refuse to admit their big mistake.

And still giving very wrong advice!

Please, don’t try to save face and give half-baked advice. What is “we don’t discourage”? The correct advice should be “we strongly encourage!”

Now, everybody knows that the government has changed their government position to allow citizens who are well to wear mask on the street. And the government is going to distribute re-useable mask to every household this Sunday. After distribute re-useable mask this time round, will the evil and greedy PAP evil women wing with extremely evil women like Josephine Teo Li Min, Indranee Rajah, Amy Khor Lean Suan, Fatimah Lateef, Lee Bee Wah, Low Yen Ling, Denise Phua, Tin Pei Ling,Halimah Yacob….. maybe set more evil law to maybe fined those people who forgot to wear mask on the street each time $2000???
And that beast evil woman Liau Lai Eng may again be busy collecting more tons of fined money without needing to go to jail for NorthStar 9/10 environment volcanic toxic smoke pollution by those SCDF burning cars toxifying the environment!

  • Tremendous:

Today in the village, 190 infections per million and 0.9 deaths per million
NZ land : 180 infections per million and 0.2 deaths per million
HK land : 113 infections per million and 0.5 deaths per million
TW land : 15 infections per million and 0.2 deaths per million
Viet land : 2 infections per million and 0 deaths
Thai place : 28 infections per million and 0.3 deaths per million
Jap land : 21 infections per million and 0.5 deaths per million
Phil land : 28 infections per million and 1 death per million
Malayzia : 103 infections per million and 2 deaths per million

So many countries without multi-million teams better than the village. Million dollar team keeps talking about economy because they know their performance appraisals are tied to economy in the long run, not how many infections or deaths compared to countries without million dollar teams. Looks like the village is dumping ground for such chiefs.

  • Sg is certainly doomed with 4G:

Nunber 1 xia suay has the cheek to say that situation under control when cases and deaths piling up day by day.

So called T.ass Force LW and kee chiu have been ineffective and incompetent so far.

This is a real acid test for the 4Gs to test how good they are in handling crises. The results are a big F.

    Utterly disappointing

  • 2 x 3 weeks more like it!:

Do not believe it will all be fixed within 3 weeks. This is wishful thinking and my guess it that it will take at least double that time. This is on the proviso that social distancing is applied in every situation and this cannot be achieved if hawker centres, restaurants and shopping malls are still operating. People have to remain at home. For those who need to use MRT to perform essential services the number of passengers in MRT have to be widely spaced and how this is to be done, will leave it to our million $ ministers to figure out.

When the new cases reaches zero, there is still a period of monitoring and serious screening. It was naive to think that “calibration” (glorified word for “reactive”) and applying a series of “brakes” will do the trick. Fat hopes! Every country has to pay a price – heavy blow to her economy to contain the virus. Admittedly Singapore like most big developed nations decided to adopt the “kiasu” approach (paying in installments – can be more costly in the long run) while China decided to pay in FULL upfront. The results speaks for themselves.

I hope it is not a case of being too little, too late!

Good job! Do you think the statistics can be more useful if divide further by the square area? Like per million per square area.

Today, as I passed by the Punggol Ang Mo supermarket, there is a long crowd outside queuing for social distancing. Since the queue is super long, therefore never go inside, but outside the Ang Mo supermarket, I took a glance inside and see a lot of shelves all emptied. All those dumb beast woman of Punggol buy so much groceries but every item got an expiry date.

I also pass by the Punggol Prime supermarket. Inside has a lot of shameless beast women all queuing to buy as though that there is no tomorrow. And those e*** women of Prime supermarket are also making huge tons of profits. I did not see any social distancing for the crowds queuing packed behind each other and definitely less than one meter.

Singapore government should start to reduce all supermarket items prices in a few stages. When people knows that goods prices in all supermarket are reduced, then a lot of people will not buy in bulks and will wait for more lower prices later. This will reduce crowds, reduce waiting queue time, ensure greater distance between persons,….. Why are those e*** PAP MP women wing keeping their mouth shuts and never suggest reducing prices, and ensure residents that their food supplies are guarantee with no increase in prices! People are worry that prices will be increased/skyrocket and this is one of the reason for massive panic crowd buying!

SINGAPORE – With the introduction of enhanced safe-distancing measures announced on Friday (April 3), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will cease Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges at all gantries, starting from next Tuesday.

The ERP charges will cease from next Monday at midnight, and will resume when the elevated set of safe distancing measures are lifted.

The LTA is expecting an immediate and significant reduction in traffic volume once these measures are implemented…. “Unquote.

Response :Why LTA stop ERP charges? Is it that LTA has suddenly become kind hearted ? Of course Not! It is precisely that a lot of kopitiams and other shops in the mall have few business nowadays, so the LTA let all vehicles in to make up the number and ensure those e*** kopitiams survive. Nowadays, all these kopitiams food are very super expensive prices easily from $4 onwards to $10 range. I visited Orchard Road recently. The crowds there are much less than before but not completely empty type. Most of the shops are still in operation.
