Protect the elderly people from the virus

At long last, the ministers are now paying to the residents of nursing homes and the care workers. See report.

I guess that they are preparing to remove the circuit breaker from the general population and focus the attention with the elderly population.

I have advocated this strategy all along. I find the circuit breaker to be unnecessary, unwise and wasteful. I find the extension of the circuit breaker to be “insane”.

It is better to let the younger people to be exposed to the virus, so that they can gain immunity. The virus will not harm them.

My observation is supported by the experience with the foreign workers. Although more than ten thousand have been infected, only a small proportion need hospital treatment and a handful need intensive care.

The circuit breaker has actually been harmful. By shielding the younger people from the virus, they do not have the chance to gain immunity. The outbreak will last longer. However, it will not cause much harm to them.

  • Immunity:

Talk about immunity, we should retain the 60s & 70s where preparation of food & places to consume were “not so clean and demanding”, resulted in good immunity, which could effectively be extended to immunity from this virus. Sg is too clean to develop any sort of immunity. A little bit only “go report sick”, cannot tahan.

Read about herd immunity. Read somewhere Sweden is letting people go about as usual. They reason that the more you are exposed, the body will develop ani bodies.

Should protect the vulnerable group eg elderly etc
The lockdown will have to release soon in a calibrated manner or the damage to companies and jobs will be beyond rescue…many SMEs companies will be dead and jobs losts if the lockdown drag on further.Very difficult to recover for many …

Good god Tan Kin Lian advocates the younger generation to be exposed to the virus! Just what is this world coming to? I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if his children and grandchildren kena as well if that is the case.

Not only is Tan brainless, his suggestions should be laughed at just like how our ministers have been ridiculed!

  • Wise Up:

Mr Tan, do you honestly know what your are asking? Let the virus infect the young? I suggest you do more research on the permanent damage the virus can do to the human body. You want our young to live life with permanent organ damage? What kind of lives do you think they will have? How long do you think they can live?

Not only the elderly needs protection but also those who have heart-related health problems, the obese & the diabetics.

I suggest the govt also issue pulse oximeter to all the vulnerable people besides the FWs to monitor their health for early detection of C19 infection among the asymptomatics!

On herd immunity, TKL may not be wrong . Yes Sweden has adopted a more relax approach and they believe in herd immunity. Youtube has videos where sweden folks explained their country position and their people choices plus views.

Although its still too early to draw conclusion. But look at S korea who flatten the curve but once more relax only we see cases in double digits. Wuhan as well and new zealand too although NZ single digit only.

Currently theres no vaccine nor a very effective medication.
Herd immunity may be one option.

As one here point out even god bless you not contract with covid , you may be worst with something else in the future.

HAVE YOU OR TKL FIGURE HOW how many percent must die first before herd immunity (if this is achievable of reality finality outcome) takes a firm grip hold to “save” the rest?

If it doesn’t, what DAMAGE is done and what costs that would forced on the state to save the rest in aftermath of consequences.

The last two months saw A HUNDRED FOLDS INCREASE in new case infections in LEE-jiapore, why hasn’t that already conferred “herd immunity”

    Read this.

Asking Swedish folks about herd immunity is as intelligent as asking Seegina, Ah Beng, Ah Seng, Jamban woman or sia suay kind which is the best US high tech stock to buy in this coronavirus epidemic-damaged financial market.

I WILL THROW DARTS is safer bet instead.
