PAP Out of Sync

Information is key to decision making, be it military battle plans, policy making or crisis management.

We have several Military trained Generals in PAP government but apparently they have lost their core knowledge in battle planning.

AOS, Appreciation Of Situations, is the very first key step in battle planning. Most of the time, it is the G2 or S2 or what we call the Intelligence Officer who will do the first important briefing in AOS.

The G2 depends on their field intelligence agents or scouts or even spy satellites to give them timely information of the battlefield.

PAP government has done nothing in intelligence or information gathering on their own right from the start, only depended on WHO to provide information on Wuhan Virus. WHO didn’t have much information at all in the beginning.

Despite of the lack of intelligence or information, PAP government made a few bold but bad assumptions about this Wuhan coronavirus. It resulted in a very lax attitude in managing the brewing crisis.

No masking and no social distancing were the main critical missteps made by PAP Ministers, including the Prime Minister. They even misled the general public by holding both the Chingay Parade and Airshow, giving the wrong idea that there is absolutely nothing to fear with the constant rhetoric that life must go on as normal.

This resulted big infections in the Jurong Safra cluster.

When we do not have enough information or intelligence about our enemy, we should be extremely cautious in our battle planning.

However PAP Ministers did otherwise. With a lack of information on the Wuhan Virus, without knowing how it transmits and spreads, how it attacks human bodies, what short and long term impacts it could do to human body, how we could deal with it, treatment and prevention … Absolutely nothing known about this virus, PAP chose to take it easy!

It is apparent that they were utterly too complacent and totally out of sync.

When the virus started to take heavy casualties and the dormitory time bomb started to implode due to pure neglect, complacency and incompetency in managing the dormitory, PAP started to wake up with a heavy slap on their face.

They scrambled to work out reactionary solutions, calling a quasi lockdown Circuit Breaker which in some instances, became Short Circuit.

They don’t even have a comprehensive masking advisory which resulted in extremely dangerous misfit in some situations with their one size fits all approach.

Even China has a more logical comprehensive masking advisory to their people.

This is what happened when you have overpaid and complacent leaders and scholars sitting in their ivory towers trying to make policies and rules which don’t make sense in many circumstances.

Totally out of sync and out of touch from the ground.

We now have more confirmation on many information of the nature of this Wuhan Coronavirus, how it transmits, how it works and how it attacks the human body.

We could design strategies and change work fornats for different types of businesses so to reduce transmission effectively.

We can and must think of Practical SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS to modify how our businesses work and change our lifestyle to adapt to an effective way or strategy to prevent virus infections.

Hong Kongers do not need their government to tell them what to do but they improvised on how their cafes, eateries, restaurants work. Other businesses adapt very quickly to the concept of Social Distancing coupled with Universal Masking. It is not a Top Down approach but rather, a Bottom Up initiatives.

Only when people are equipped with the necessary critical information about the virus, they could improvise and create safe environment for their lives and businesses to carry on as usual.

This is why HK doesn’t need a total or quasi lock down. They have school closures early, work at home for civil servants but apart from that, due to well informed public on the nature of virus transmission, they carry out changes to their lifestyle and business dealings to become the New Norm.

PAP is out of sync again at this stage, to take overly cautious approach in planning a 3 phase easing of lockdown which potentially spread over 5 or 6 months!

This is totally unnecessary because we already have good knowledge of this virus. We should let our people more informed about this virus and in fact, Singaporeans should be more fearful of being infected rather than fear of being fined $300 for non compliance!

With this Kiasu 3 Phase easing, probably people and businesses will not be infected and died but they will die of economic hardship instead.

This is why I say PAP leaders are totally out of sync.

They were just too complacent when they shouldn’t (when they little or no information) and now, overly cautious when they should have more confident in dealing with this economic implications (when we have more complete information) which this virus brought upon us.

PAPpypolitics INABILITY TO CONTAIN the dorm pandemic stems from these errors of dictatorship rule

    - we do what we like, never mind what the people thinks, and
    - we do what is convenient, never mind what the law says.

A LOT OF MONUMENTAL POLICY FLAWS were germinated and continue to germinate – ranging from Population White Paper, to CPF to slum-like dorm housing for foreign workers to GRCs to UNELECTED PRESIDENCY etc etc

They ignored or are clueless of these realities – decisions have consequences, rogue decisions have outsized enduring black swans that will emerge sooner or later.

And PAPpypolitics does NOT have the monopoly of information or wisdom. They got the least which is why they won’t dare hold town-hall like public engagement of policy consultation. THEY AND THEIR HYPOCRISIES WILL BE TRASHED.

    Dear Singaporeans,
Internationally, everyone is calling it Covid-19 virus.

But in Taiwan, the DPP and their IB 1450 is calling it wuhan virus.

The DPP even politicize the virus name and if you do not call it wuhan virus, the DPP and their IB 1450 will brand you as pro-communist. 舔共。

Now this Goh Meng Seng is calling it Wuhan Coronavirus, this show that he has cross over to DPP IB 1450.

I stick to what I said. Goh Meng Seng has no principle. He is a grass on the wall, always sway with the wind direction. 墙头草,两边倒

Agree that gahmen were too slow in takinv the right actions at the onset of the Covid break-out.
However,i think caution is a virtue when it comes to relaxing lockdown.
Firstly, the new cases are still quite huge for a small nation compared to bigger infected countries.
We cannot afford a SECOND ROUND or the socio-economic-health impact would be more pronounced.

Seriously, how much understanding do we have of CV as of now?
A vaccine is not even established, neither a VIEAL CURE?

SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL SURELY BE IMPACTED IF WE UNLOCK THE LOCKDOWN TOO HURRIEDLY?

Out of Sync ? Mr Goh, don’t be too kind in your words….

After 30 years of Total Defence, we had spent billions in taxpayer money. All that investment has gone to the rubbish bin overnight.

Today, one virus pandemic has run over us. We are now Totally Defenceless.

PAP Govt must don’t use the words – “Total Defence” or “Smart Nation” anymore.

  • opposition dude:

Well let us not also forget the spectacular u-turns from PAP for this pandemic too. Who says PAP is good for nothing? They are EXCELLENT at providing comedy one hor!

    Remember the following below?

    - Don’t wear mask if you aren’t sick HA HA HA. This was printed prominently on the newspapers daily right on the front page too! All of a sudden must wear mask if you leave your house!

    - We are in control of the situation said one goondu PM. Great control man, the virus spreading and infecting the Bangles to the tune of hundreds per day. Keep up the great work ah!

    - Children are not a vector fot the disease so no need to close schools. Next thing you know schools will be closed and online learning implemented.

    - No need lockdown. Now lockdown for almost a month at first and then extended to 2 June.

I’m sure someone is keeping track of all this since it’s too good to just forget and it’s excellent bullets to shoot PAP with. They may have extremely thick skins in not admitting their mistake but we know better. So let’s all do our part in the next GE and show them a crystal clear sign just what we think of their ineptness ok?

  • The Emperor's Economics:

The corona, unlike cronycrats, needs no patronage from Pinky & Errr.

We should have taken the cues from Taiwan’s prudent approach to containment right from the beginning – the whole world thinks so today, except the CCP.

After all we had a headstart over everyone else; Sinchiapor was manufacturing face masks with Taiwan for some time now.

Arrogance and avarice has a certain tendency to muddle up the heart and head. It can produce mavericks of the manipulative sort.

  • NotMyProblem:

Before this circuit breaker, the taskforce implemented the safe distancing. This half-baked restriction was totally a joke. You could see in bus interchanges, thousand of public transport commuters rubbing shoulders on one side and shoppers were queuing to enter the mall on another side. So half of the same area with safe distancing, another half no need!

When safe distancing could not be implemented in public transport, Minister Khaw suggested that commuters not to talk in public transport to prevent saliva flying.

When circuit breaker was enforced with people working from home and some businesses closed, just so that safe distancing could be practised in public transport, LTA reduced the operation frequency as ridership reduced, resulted in the crowding situation again in public transport.

Just these two examples were enough to prove how out of sync this PAP Ministers were.

There were more half baked ideas like not allowing people eating in hawker centers and void deck, forgotten that there are people like taxi drivers and delivery were on the move, unable to find a place for their meals.

Singapore only has haze and virus. What about those countries with tsunami, earth quake, typhoon or other natural calamity, how its leaders react? And Singapore’s Ministers are paid the highest in this galaxy!!

As long as the comprehensive safeguards like mask wearing, safe distancing & strict enforcement are in place, the govt should confidently open up the economy in 1 move to save biz & jobs!

Before lifting of CB mode on 2nd June, get the hawker centres, coffeeshops, restaurants, eateries etc to re-do the fixtures for crowd control & safe entry processes to ensure safe dining-in!

Get out of “crisis mindset” & approach the opening of biz fairly (complaint by aesthetic clinic as to why hair salon can open first) but firmly in 1 move after systematic safety checks by authorities are carried out!

IF THE PAP TASK FORCE IS NOT UP TO THE TASK, REPLACE IT! IT IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE TO SAVE BIZ & JOBS URGENTLY WHILE SAFEGUARDS ARE IN PLACE TO PROTECT LIVES!

    @Top money for Top Talent
I agree with you the virus should not be called Wuhan Coronavirus though it originated from there.
It should called the CCP virus. Because it was the CCP who actively suppress, cover up, destroy virus sample, shut up their own Doctors for months until PAPER CANNOT WRAP FIRE.
Buy up WHO, spread false information about no human to human transmission which resulted in this pandemic. Taiwan is not in WHO is blessing in disguise.
Obviously, CCP did not learn from SARs in 2003. PAPER WILL NEVER WRAP FIRE one. Unless you invent a fire proof material. And keep your disease in own country. Then other countries not affected, won’t complain lor. You die your business. Don’t drag others into water also.

  • Two Points To Note:

The number of infection now os 30,000. I fear that other countries in the Region will be scared of Singaporeans visiting their countries.

I notice now that there are very few passengers in buses especially double decker buses eg 5 people in the double decker buses.

Why can’t the bus companies use the single storey buses instead of the double decker buses to save on fuel cost ?

Please don’t start increasing the fare later to recover the loses when you do not bother be adaptive and think out of the box.
