Updates on in-house techie medical condition (22 Aug)

Internal bleeding from the artery operated on the right thigh

Our techie Andrew suffered a relapse on Monday (17th Aug), the day he was scheduled to undergo “血管造影” (angiography). He lost control to his right leg and experienced weakness on his right hand. His condition was reported to be stable.

Again luckily for Andrew, the medication given to him worked and he regained most of the fuctions to his right leg and hand. He successfully underwent angiography on Tuesday afternoon (18th Aug) and is currently confined to bed to ensure that he does not rupture the artery which was used in the angiography. There was internal bleeding around the insertion area (upper right thigh) and he is receiving medical attention for it.

Unfortunately for Andrew, through the angiography, the doctors have discovered another growth in an artery leading into the brain about the same size as the first and he may have to undergo surgery to remove that as well.

A team of specialist will re-assess his condition on Thursday (20 Aug) when the full medical report is out.

We will keep our caring readers posted on any latest developments, as and when it is available.

In the meantime, those who would like to help out with Andrew’s medical bills, please choose from the following avenues.

Updated 22nd Aug

After consulting his attending doctors and against their advice, Andrew has discharged himself from the hospital and choose “保守治疗” medication over surgery, for the time being.

Medical cost (especially surgery) was one of his considerations, but it is also due to the relapse of his wife’s “Lumbar disc herniation” (腰间盘突出). His wife has been taking care of Andrew since he was hospitalized on 6th Aug and have spent every day and night in hospital, which might have put a heavy stress on her already injured back. She was diagnosed with Lumbar disc herniation in 2017 [link] and have recovered significantly after hundreds of sessions of accupuncture and tuina.

Since Andrew is the more mobile of the couple currently, except for weakness to the right side of his body, he has decided to keep his wife company and tend to her while she is hospitalized in a different hospital (15km from the one he was being treated).

The short break from hospitalization would also buy time for him to weigh the medical options presented to him and to raise the needed funds for medical fees.

  • Market Rate vs Beg for $30,000:

    Dear Andrew,
Please rest well. Do not work hard and get nothing in return except illnesses.

If your input is 2x, output must be 3x or higher.
However, If you your input is 2x, output is 1x or 0, you better quit.

Ask yourselves this question, is it worthwhile working for no wages or little wages and getting yourselves sick helping ungrateful freeloader Singaporeans?

You get yourselves exploited by working for free or low wage and this result in you having to beg for $30,000 donation.

If you had been paid market rate wage now you do not have to beg for $30,000 donation.

I hope you take this opportunity to do your Math and get your sense of proportion right and demand market rate wages from TRE.

Agree. Most employers pay below market rates, subpar or even dismal wages. So is that why no Sporeans want to work?

Eg part time $6 per hour. But boss want you for 4 hours per day.
    $6 x 4 hrs = $24
    Less employee CPF 20% ($4.8)
    Net wage = $19.2
Less Meals $6, transport $3 per day
    Take home $10.20
Top up fare card minimum $10.
    Balance $0.20.

No need to worry for Andrew. He won’t mind working for free-loaders so long as these free-loaders keep PAP ass-lickers in check. If he really dies as you wish, no need to worry also, for he has no short of successors waiting to continue his mission to continue fucking your master.

For Andrew to qualify for social medical benefits, he has to either be a PRC or is working for an MNC or GLC, neither of which I think he is, therefore I don’t he qualify at all.

A lot of contradictory stories coming from the tech guy. Last time he mentioned he drove from some China state or city to another state or city praising China highway. He was then challenge by someone questioning him that he dare to drive in China where a friend with 20 years experience driving in both sg and malaysia ( even into Southern part of Thailand just after border ). And he proudly reply he’s from China. Is he prc or sg ?

And this chap never buy insurance working and travelling in China ??? So who fault is it ???

Mod: One thing I am sure, Andrew has never said that he is PRC and therefore he once drove all the way from a town in Hubei to Guanzhou consulate to collect his passport. Just because you can’t drive from province to province does not mean others cannot be better than you. As for the remaining questions, may I suggest you write to Andrew and pose the above questions to him directly to get the facts? No point casting doubts and hurl wild accusations at him especially when he is very sick.

I wiil also tag this post for him to visit when he is better and he will surely be in a better position to address all your concerns.

  • Do some censor:

Now is a good time to do some censorship.

What’s the point of asking a very sick person to come and read all these rubbish thrown at him? He might get sicker or worse.

Is this the aim of those throwing rubbish now?

Please delete all those rubbish comments. Save Andrew.

  • PRC Zealots:

    I second Bad Boy.

I too recalled reading he answered ” i m from China. “. That was during China Wuhan pandemic period.

Criticise Sg and plp China , now appeal for donation in Sg. A rather negative image of

無事夏迎春 ( China good, China dok kong, Sg f**k up ),

有事鍾無艷 ( Appeal for donation , appeal for fundings ).

Anyway, since he’s in China and it happened in China. Why not crowd fund in China ? China mass population with each person donate just one rmb dollar, easily surpassed target. Plus in China there are agencies doing that for the destitute. Capped at a million or 500K rmb , it easily achievable.
    What happen to 本是同根生.

  • @PRC Zealots and Bad Boy

I have never said “I’m from China”. Please feel free to highlight from any section of the website where I have said that. I have also not said I am PRC, merely that I am in China.

    1. I did drove from Wuhan to Guangzhou with a co-driver taking about 2 days.
    2. I do not know your friend so I have not seen his driving skills, so no comment.
    3. I stand by my opinion that China has improved a lot and is better than SG in many areas.

If I may say so, it is possible a newbie driver in China could put to shame some driver from Singapore or Malaysia who has been driving for 20 years because the road conditions are completely different in China, where surviving on a highway at 120km/h is a skill a newbie MUST learn, followed by driving in a city where most of the drivers of 2 wheelers are of all ages without a valid driving license and have no consideration for the color of traffic lights.

To test your friend’s driving skills, may I suggest you visit 神农架 with a family car and try the 十回首 to 木鱼镇, where every turn is 180 degrees or more. Introduction here or here. Looks easy but wait till you try it at a speed of 30km/h or more.

Or maybe I should make it easier on him and let him try ANY 山区 road in 南漳 (the county is basically made up of mountains linking mountains) where most of the roads are 2-way, single-lane.

Or maybe slightly easier drive from Wuhan to Wudansan via highway at night at a speed of 120 km/h or above?

Once he has done that and does not end up at the bottom of a cliff, then he can go on and announce to the whole world that he has 20 years of driving experience. I am proud to say that I have done all of the above, although I almost went off a cliff in 南漳.

Driving in China (60 – 140km/h) and Singapore (60 – 90 km/h) is a huge world of difference where only those who are in China will understand.

Thank you for both your concerns. I quite fine, for the time being.

Reported on Straits Times :Quote – “SINGAPORE – A Singaporean woman diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer while in the United States arrived in Singapore on Saturday (May 30) night after the public raised about $373,000 to fund her trip home.

The flight back to Seletar Airport by air ambulance was the only option for Ms Lerine Liu as commercial flights had been cancelled due to the pandemic.

The Straits Times highlighted the fundraising campaign to fund Ms Liu’s flight home last Monday and the following day her family raised about $373,000 from 3,886 donors – well in excess of the goal of $330,000.

Ms Liu, 42, was accompanied by a medical crew on the flight operated by International SOS that departed Newark, New Jersey, on Friday.

The flight was postponed from Thursday as Ms Liu’s condition had to be stabilised before she could board the plane.

It made several refuelling stops before arriving in Singapore on Saturday at around 6.30pm.

Ms Liu will now be quarantined for 14 days as part of Covid-19 measures before her family will be able to visit her.

Ms Felicia Liew, one of her three sisters, told The Straits Times on Sunday that the flight went smoothly: “There was some tailwind so the flight arrived earlier than expected.”… “Unquote.

Response : Straits Times no need to further report on this woman Ms Lerine Liu and check whether her stage 4 breast cancer is fake or not? Stage 4 cancer officially supposed no cure and see whether she dies already or not? Check is proper procedure. Understand that. If never check, all those tons of public funds got conned off and nobody knows. There are a lot of women that fake all sorts of things to con off people money!
NEWS evil women media always like this, like and continue to keep reporting out on things as long as public money is not transferred over, crying crocodile tears. Once transfer all public funds over and receive, all
those evil women news media will automatically stop reporting further! Pui to all these con women media system conning public funds!
