What is with this frivolous debate over ‘folksy wisdom’?

Jamus Lim is already being kind when he calls Singapore’s so-called labor union leaders “folksy”. I would not call them that. They are useless, inept, tail-wagging puppies who are there only to serve their master’s needs to keep wages down so that the PAP can keep creaming off the profits, by pressing down on workers.

These “union leaders” are spineless people with no backbone, that’s what they are. “Folksy” is honestly being very kind to them.

What’s with these “union leaders” being such snowflakes that they cry father and mother over being called unscientific. Union leaders are supposed to fight for the workers, and what have they done? Even S$1,300, have they fought for the government to legislate it for ALL workers? Why are outsourced resident cleaners still earning below S$1,300?

If these union leaders are even effectual in any way, Singapore would have a minimum wage today that would be at least S$1,500, S$1,800 or S$2,000. And yet, the PAP is still quibbling over S$1,300, when Singapore’s profit share as a percentage of GDP is already among the highest in the developed countries.

Today, up to 35% of Singaporeans are estimated to be living in poverty and yet these tone deaf “union leaders” and the PAP refuses to legislate a minimum wage, at the bare minimum to S$1,300.

They are not just “folksy”. They are dumb-f*** selfish buggers. Stop pretending to care for workers, because Singapore’s workers are already suffering.

  • The unholy triangle:

In this certain place, many things are not what they are.

    What is public is private.

    What is private is public.

Freedom is chained. Servant is king. Accuser is thief.

Top university degree is not worth a fake degree.

    What a strange land.

We also have the only Union in the world which prefers to hire foreigners over locals. How ironic is that when the Union is supposed to be fighting for the rights of local workers.

Sinchiapor Inc. is like a treasure tree full of smart ass monkeys, all on different branches at different levels. The powerful monkeys on top look down and see a tree full of hopeful smiling faces. The monkeys on the bottom look up and see nothing but manipulating assholes. And the sheeples grazing around the tree bo pian kena lao kao droppings all the time.

  • MP=Minimum Pay:

One “leader” says if there is a minimum pay, those getting above minimum pay will get their pay lowered to the minimum level.

No pofma on that “leader”. So gov agree that is true.

Holy shit. No wonder all the “leaders” object to setting a minimum pay.

Imagine the PM (pay maximum) tells the MPs (minimum pays) that they will be getting $1300 per month.
