Senior Minister of State Amy Khor at a ribbon cutting ceremony of a temporary bus-stop

A picture of Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State, MOSE and MOT, being the VIP at a ribbon cutting ceremony of a temporary bus-stop is circulating on-line.

I ask myself if I am impressed and my answer is ‘Pui’. My reasons are simple.

Over the decades and all over Singapore, we have had so many temporary hawker centres, temporary markets, temporary car parks and temporary bus terminals even. Did we have ribbon cutting ceremony for any one of them? NO and rightly so. Why should we?

For crying out loud, even if we are going to spend energy and money to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome one, do it for the new and permanent one and not be so spendthrift on a temporary one la.

I ask what is so great about having a temporary bus-stop? Given the quantum of her political salary that our country and our taxpayers are paying her, such an ostentatious display of a petty achievement is an outright insult to our intelligence and an utter waste of everybody’s time, energy, resources and precious money and she must be promptly called out and shamed publicly.

I repeat. Such a behaviour must be promptly called out and be shamed publicly!

If she has nothing better to do, at the very least adopt a low profile and quietly earn her million dollars salary but to flaunt such an “achievement” are clear signs of the very sorry state of our politics with weak people in charge.

I feel sorry and sad for my country. Pap best days are truly over and along with that, Singapore is no longer shinning and outstanding.

Think.

OMG! What an utterly despicable act just for a poorly conceived photo op. I mean, don’t these people have anything better to do? Reminds me of that time Tin Pei Ling ran around her estate looking for the person who tossed out a sanitary pad.

This is what happens when you create jobs for undeserving cronies. If I were the MP or Minister, I would have asked a couple of Banglas to cut the ribbon. After all, they’re the ones who get things done in the estate.

This Minister should spend her time cleaning public toilets if she really wants to serve her constituents or the public at large.

This cutting of ribbon at the temp bus shelter is a sheer display of meaningless and nonsensical act in public, la ! It is just a publicity stunt to highlight themselves, otherwise, they have no news to be reported. It seems that the elected MIWs have nothing better to do while collecting millions easy money from tax payers. Or are they feeling guilty collecting so much pays that they have put on this act in public ?

Reported on Stomp website :Quote -”As Stomper Kishen was finishing up his chocolate milk tea, he felt something ‘gelatinous’ in his mouth.
Knowing that it could not be pearls as he did not order them, he spat it out and was horrified to see that it was actually a cockroach.
The incident, which happened on Nov 20 at 5.53pm, left Kishen feeling disgusted yet thankful that he did not swallow the insect.

In the photos, a cockroach can be seen lying face up in an empty Each-A-Cup cup.
“I went to The Poiz Centre at Upper Serangoon Road to purchase a drink from Each-A-Cup. I bought a chocolate-flavoured milk tea drink without pearls and drank it relatively quickly,” Kishen said.
“I was almost done with my drink when I realised there was something gelatinous in my mouth. I knew that it could not be pearls as I didn’t order them.
“I was so confused about what it could have been so I quickly spat it back into the cup through the straw.
“To my horror, it was a cockroach. Even my grandmother, who was with me, took a look at it and confirmed it was a cockroach.
“Isn’t this a serious health violation? Who knows what kind of viruses or germs cockroaches carry?
“This is really disappointing as Each-A-Cup is such a well-known brand. I did not expect this to happen at all.”
In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman for Each-A-Cup said: “We sincerely apologise for the incident that took place on Nov 20 when a customer found a cockroach in his drink from one of our outlets located at The Poiz.
“We regret that such an incident has taken place and we would like to assure everyone that we take such matters very seriously.”
The spokesman added that they are thoroughly reviewing the situation, following the pictures they have received depicting a cockroach in their cup.
“At Each-A-Cup, food hygiene and food safety are of utmost importance to us. Therefore, all our outlets go through thorough pest control checks on a regular basis,” said the spokesman.
“Following the unfortunate incident, we have immediately called for pest control checks to inspect our outlet at The Poiz to ensure food hygiene and food safety.
“We will also continue to carry out pest control checks regularly at all our outlets, as this is part of our commitment to food hygiene and food safety.
“In addition, we have also given a firm reminder to all of our staff to be extra cautious in ensuring proper cleanliness in preparation of drinks, and maintenance of the stores….
Stomp has contacted the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) for more information….”Unquote .

Response : Now even cockroaches appear inside milk tea drink and that evil b***t woman Senior Minister of State Amy Khor Lean Suan still has so much time pulling a whole crowd of followers to do useless meaningless thing to open ceremony for a temporary bus stop wasting public resources.

My estate seldom has coachroaches. Recently I kill a cockroaches that landed inside my house .Pui!

Reported on Straits Times :Quote -:”Parliament: No plan to impose plastic bag levy, other types of disposable bags not much greener: Amy Khor….

SINGAPORE – There are no plans to introduce a levy on plastic bags, and replacing them with bio-degradable or paper bags may not be that much greener.

“Imposing a charge or ban on disposable plastic bags and substituting them with other types of disposable bags is unlikely to improve environmental outcomes,” said Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for the Environment and Water Resources, on Tuesday (March 6) during the debate on her ministry’s budget.

Every type of disposable bag, be it a bio-degradable bag or a paper bag, affects the environment, whether it is through carbon emissions, heavy water use or significant land clearance, Dr Khor said, citing a study commissioned by the National Environment Agency (NEA), which comes under her ministry.

She was replying to a question from Ms Cheng Li Hui (Tampines GRC), who had asked if the ministry would consider imposing a levy on plastic bags to reduce their excessive consumption….”Unquote.

Response :According to 6th March 2018 news,”There are no plans to introduce a levy on plastic bags” ???? Now ,some of the fairprice already charge $0.20 for a piece of plastic bag .And that is called surcharge or plastic bag levy ! So Amy Khor Lean Suan words is basically lies ! And all along plastic bag is already included or factor in the price of any item purchased .This is business pricing of goods and plastic bag is never free all along
,is it free for decades ? Cannot be. So fairprice add $0.20 for one piece of plastic bag at Changi Terminal 3 and other fairprice outlet is basically double charging for the use of plastic bag !Pui! Pui!Pui! Our Parliament people can tell lies through their nose fooling citizens !
