Singapore Tops the List of Countries Requesting Netflix To Ban Content

Singapore Tops the List of Countries Requesting Netflix To Ban Content; even beating Saudi Arabia!

In 23 years of operation, Netflix has taken down just nine TV shows and movies from its streaming service at the behest of governments, the company has disclosed in a report. Five of those takedown requests were made by Singapore alone. [LINK]

The PAP’s Stranglehold on What Little Freedom of Speech we Have is Choking this Country to Death.

Free Speech is more than just about politics. It is about faith in community. The community of a nation.

Free Speech is an investment in the future of a nation, and an investment driven by the individual and collective ideas of citizens.

Free Speech is about a nation having the courage to seek opinions outside of it’s rulers, having the wisdom that not one group can possibly know everything; there is always more to know and more to learn.

The growth of a nation is fed by a robust market place of ideas. Good, sound ideas do not need defending, public discussion only makes them better.

Singaporeans are the most educated populace on the planet. We should be free to engage in wholesome and robust dialogue of all ideas and topics. We should be encouraged to do so from a very early age.

The PAP’s stranglehold on what little Freedom of Speech we have is choking this country to death. Stifling innovation, start-ups, employment, education and even our entertainment and media as the Netflix article shows.

  • Harder Truths:

C’mon. You know they have downloaded everything on your smartphone and track you everywhere. So they ban Netflix. Big deal. As if American movies are somehow going to save us.

Now if they tried to stop K-Pop channel then I would get upset.

Not surprising. Even R21 movies are censored. Pity those uncles paying just to eat ‘fried chicken with no skin’.

You subscribe to mio TV? Those movies from Hong Kong are censored, especially those sex scenes. No happy ending for all you viewers!

We are conservative society means no sex.

  • Mr lim tean is too generous:

Most educated doesnt equate to smarts..
    So whats the use?
Just look at japan china or skorea.. they are the most educated and not just in book smarts.
the most educated people in sg arent using their braincells for any good for our country or its people.
    Sad but true.

Why u want uncles to watch R21 movies ? Why u associate uncles watching HK movies definitely focusing on sex scenes? Why u want to instill them a dirty mind. Wait they go after foreign gold diggers prc mei mei and get cheated of their monies. Besides they probably cannot stand anymore.

U sounds like they cannot watch anything else except porn. Jialat. Gov is right to extend retirement age. Carry on working , keep mind occupied.

Sorry , probably u dont know these 3 countries China SK Japan are the most overworked countries. They have high problems of death from overwork 過勞死. Probably not reported on CGTV.

Streetsmart? If your interpretation of streetsmart is to play people out e.g. Dr M or copyright infringement like watching pirate movies on the internet or formally buy pirates DVDs from JB or cheat people through MLM scams / carousell scams. Thats not the kind of smart we should encourage.

  • Movies, Monies,Hornies &Honeys:

Sg elderly should not spend monies on movies.
Forget about being horny for honey.
No money to buy medicine still want to watch paid movies?
Cost of living is way too absurd and unbearable lah!

Flexing muscles on Netflix? What a global joke!

Elderly should by now Hantak Kaki before they come to an
abrupt halt! Go Tanglin Halt; so many Only-The-Lonely elderly bored to death. Still got time and money to waste?

Furthermore, elderly are easily scammed and fall prey to cheats.

In most nations, the leaders and cronies legally selfserve on National Pie; leaving crumbs for the commoners.

What makes a nation, is yet to realised. You die Your funeral! All for One, One for All is none the Wisdom. It’s now Null and Void.

Mankind is no more a kind kind. Kind movements, indeed?
This world is totally demoralised by Greed and Undesirable Desires…totally Void of Kindness.
