Able-Bodied New Citizens 30 Years And Above Do Not Have To Do National Service

Trust? When Able-Bodied New Citizens 30 Years And Above Do Not Have To Do National Service?

The standard narrative from a PAP Minister with very little understanding of the significance of the words uttered.

Does Ng Eng Hen as Defence Minister truly believe that there will be solidarity amongst Singaporeans in times of war when able-bodied New Citizens past the age of 30 do not have to bear arms and lay down their lives for their fellow Singaporeans?

Look at the Ukraine war. Every Ukrainian is prepared to die for their country and fellow men. The Russians are fleeing the battlefield in droves even though they are supposed to be the 2nd strongest army in the World. Hundreds of thousands of Russian men have fled to neighbouring countries to escape from the partial mobilisation ordered by Putin. Why? Because there is absolutely no commitment from the Russian men who are not willing to sacrifice their lives for a cause they do not believe in.

Is the Singapore passport ultimately only an economic passport and a passport of convenience? Is that native Singaporean expected to die for the New Citizen in war but not to expect the same sacrifice in return?

The defence minister is a good comedian which no one pointed out. When asked how many new citizens DIDN’T do NS he arrogantly replied that he already answered the questions when people who understand ang moh know he didn’t.

Maybe he is getting on in his years and is hard of hearing or something else. But not answering a question means you have something to hide. And also that you don’t understand ang moh, double whammy! You think you can just sweep everything under the carpet just because you have the majority in parliament ah, you wait long long hor!

Trust is something earned, not something some good for nothing utters and simply expects the electorate to follow. The PM is another prime (no pun intended) example of another clown who loves uttering the phrase “trust in government” every now and then.

Well, guess what? This so called trust is slipping further and further away from PAP. It stands ar 60% now so let’s see just how much it falls come the next election.

  • Smart Ukrainians:

Lim Tean talk cock. Ukrainians don’t want to be cannon fodder. The smart ones left Ukraine before Zelensky closed the borders and conscript young and old into the army.

Dumb Singaporeans should learn the right lessons.

Seriously, we hope there is a war in pap island.

Then, the bold folks can show pap Ljs and pap Cbs where their guns are pointed at and whom they are firing.

For us, as long as it is pap, it is not good.

    Treat Citizen well.
They are the one you can count on when really needed .
No one will fight for a cause they don’t believe in if they feel the country do not treat them well or fairly.
Better to put the bet on Citizen than those who are here for economic reason.

In times of war,the RICH will flee first.
    Even in Ukraine.
I notice from watching news that the EARLY BATCHES OF *REFUGEES* FLEEING into neighbouring countries like Poland, were well-attired and smiling unlike the later batches who were simply dressed and looked sad and worried like how normal refugees look.
Those early *refugees* were also warmly welcomed by their hosts the way welcomes are extended to *touri$ts*.

Maybe i read too much into it.
But it looks like i may be right.
Whatever, when things become bad or the pastures beyond are TINY shores are greener,THOSE WHO BENEFITTED THE MOST FROM OUR BELOVED SG WILL BE THE FIRST TO FLEE.

It is a sad reflection that the government is losingvtouch with tge groubd.

We are a highly commercialised society. I would characterise our relationship with the government as a business relationship. There is little emotional attachment because sees everything through the lens of commerce.

I give a simple example. For seniors intending to buy a flexi flat payment is only by cash. However, the price of the flat is counted till the age of 95 years.

Thus, if you are 64 years you will have to buy a flat that has 35 years lease (lease periods are in multiples of 5 years). If you are 67 years, you buy one with 30 years lease and so on..

If you die before 95, the HDB will buy back the remaining lease for your estate. This sounds fine.

What is not fine is that (1) you have to cough out the extra cash upfront (2) how many of us will be “lucky” enough to live till 95?

Here, it shows how the government is covering its backside so that the government will not be burdened to care for you had the lease been calculated up to 85 or 90 years of age.

Do note that the average life span in SG is 83

The PAP Administration knew very well its nationalism aggenda for SG score very very poorly

Has the PAP promote PAP=SG or SG=SGpns. The answer would be very very accurate to determine SGpns will bear arms for who.

Hen the National Defence Chief was so bloody negligent in securing the many pieces SAF Armour Vehicles against spies – what do one expect an ordinary SG soldier to do in times of war when Hen didnt care at all SAF secrets in peace times?

AS more new citizens-of-convenience park their cash in GCBs, NS serving HDB dwellers reports for their duty.
So these new citizen-billionaire that bought GCBs will let their offspring do NS?
The only winners are those that have GCBs to sell to them.
