Author: I don’t really understand what LHL Administration tries to achieve to prolong this OxleyGate saga.
It is clear to EVERYONE in SG that LKY wished and wanted his house to be demolished instead of turning it into a Temple of Monument.
He had said it publicly with full video recording, written to PAP Cabinet personally to express his stance and even written it down in his own memoirs! Eventually stated very clearly in his own last Will!
So what’s the problem? Why is PAP Gov under LHL leadership dragging his father’s name and the whole Singapore into the International mud? What is he trying to achieve? Shame us all just because his own father didn’t agree with him and his party?
Even if LHL and PAP wanted so badly to milk LKY legacy by Gazetting 38 Oxley and turn it into Monument, they could still do it what! Gov power supercede all private will, LKY’s included! Just do it, if you dare!
If you don’t have the guts to do it, then stop all these petty nonsense which embarrass the whole nation internationally!

How long ago was this interview? It is very convincing. LKY made it very explicit in the video that he wanted the home demolished after he is dead, and even gave reasons for it. He knew very well that the property was worth much more when developed, and those in the surrounding vicinity stood to benefit as well. It appears that LKY had been consistent to the end in his last Will.

The dispute could have been resolved after LHY bought over his brother’s share to the property. Presumably, they had reached an agreement to tear down the building after LWL vacates the place. Or else, LHY would not have agreed to buy over his brother’s share. But then came the charges brought against his son and his wife. And now Oxleygate is back in the news. It seems like someone is unwilling to let the matter rest. It could be that LHY decided to join Opposition politics. Some think that the latest move is politically-motivated to disqualify him as a candidate for President. It’s plausible. As they say, politics is dirty. Or it may even be deeper than politics.

Who knows what will be the outcome of the next GE? If LW does poorly at the polls, he could be dropped and replaced by OYK or CCS who are standing in the wings. Or, they could even fast-track his heir-apparent so there is no need for a seat warmer. Get him into a GRC at the next GE, win a seat in Parliament, and leave the rest to the CEC. In a matter of months he could be made a Minister and then Prime Minister. (Somewhat similar to TKL’s idea of selection by a Council except that he is not in favor of a democratic election). During the interim, LHL can remain as PM until his son takes over – no need for a seat warmer. The father can be the Mentor Minister, his son the Prime Minister, and if HC is President, that would be perfect! No more the “trinity” that we had before. This time it will be the “HoLee Family.” We could all be singing “HOLEE, HOLEE, HOLEE!” instead as our anthem. LOL!

I was watching another dynasty drama about the Ching Dynasty where the old emperor died, leaving behind a few sons.
The crown prince naturally ascended the throne but he started to ‘take good care’ of his brothers, either banishing them or killing them off, one by one.
However, unknown to the outside world, it was in fact the working of the chief eunuch and the current court officials as the new price has no “kaki lang”. So the chief eunuch was in cahoot with the court officials and were grabbing the prince by his balls literally.
In the latest fiasco we saw the eunuch doing all the talking while the prince remains deadly silent… Hm… could it be…
Sidetrack a little, everyone knows that me and my 2 brothers are not on good terms. In fact, when I was in ICU with stroke, they had actually refused to help financially (they can afford to as they are gazetted officers and above) and had even tried to stop my father from remitting funds to China, i.e. wishing me death.
Of course I was mad and is wishing that they would die from the C19 vaccines and/or the C19 (their body their choice, not my fault). BUT I would never think of manually plotting and setting them up because they are after all my brothers. So I honestly fail to understand why…
SO maybe whatever happened in the drama is a possibility in the current fiasco?
