I remember many years ago, WP LTK asked about the 10M population and then there was this answer from pointed nose Isa guy, he said, “You don’t want maids to clean your house?” So years gone, the population ballooned to almost coming to 6M and more work passes, PRs and new citizenship being given out like toilet papers. More and more local PMETs replaced doing self employed jobs like PHV and food delivery. This is real and happening but staunch supporters refused to come to terms, especially if they have a job. They will constantly repeat govt propaganda that locals want high paying job and foreigners create good jobs for locals.
When you ask these new migrants who came, whether they convert or have not converted, they have only things to say about this govt. Coming in from third world, arm with inferior qualification or work experience, making a few hundred a month is suddenly branded as talents, taking good jobs and making good money in Singapore. Of course, who wouldn’t? The exponential growth of foreigners being imported and converted is getting big push in order to drum up GDP and new votes. As leong has pointed out, last year more than 90% of the jobs created went to foreigners. And the relaxation and changes of employment passes to make it easier to hire foreigners. The goal is clear, isn’t it? How did Singaporeans with brains don’t see it? And still want to vote for it? This is a mystery honestly. I had personally seen staunch party supporters replaced by foreign born managers who are now new citizens. Yes, they have been retrenched or replaced by other incoming talents as foreign born preferred to hire their own natives, discriminate against local born even if you are the same race.
The population debates led to hide and seek, just like the stats incorporating PRs as locals. The establishment will never admit to 10M or 9M or population growth, they will continue to play dumb. But unless you are blind, or have blind faith, you can physically assess from your sight and what you see in public and in your office.
Singaporeans who are not affected yet, your karma will come, it already happened to a number of my friends, they chose to be like Emperor with clothes and now they are sitting at home. Thanks to your cowardice and stockholm syndrome that we locals are now relegated to third tier as the establishment is grooming third world migrants to be the leading core.

Min salary for work pass went up, not down. So it became actually harder for MNCs to hire foreigners.

LHL and his Cabinet must have been advised by their expert planners that the island can hold 10 million people. But the populace don’t stay in their flats 24/7. They come out around the same time during peak hours to go to school and to work. Just look at the peak-hours crowd when the MRT and buses are packed like sardines, and the delays caused whenever there is a breakdown. The same for the weekends when the crowd comes out to the malls to shop and eat and the foreign domestic workers have their off-day. The island is over-stretched. I won’t be surprised if the foreign population has outnumbered native local-born Singaporeans.

MY opined that local PMETs would become gigs workers after they had been replaced by FTs.
On many occasions when I took lift, waiting to cross the road at traffic light crossing etc, I would come across food deliverers on bicycles. On some of these occasions, I managed to initiate simple conversation with them on their earnings, their previous occupations etc. They were all true blue sinkies none were PMET previously.
The numerous occasions when I took ride on PHV, I habitually would talk to the drivers. They have very diverse backgrounds but none were PMETs previously.
Anyone have any statistics to back up the claim of MY that more and more local PMETs are being replaced by FTs and ended up as gig’s workers?

1. National Productivity
Since 2011 – 2014, we always have productivity issue? Do we import too many workers from low productivity countries? Are we not getting enough workers from high productivity countries such as Malaysia and north east asia?
We used to be world most productive country in 80s and 90s.
2. Quality
Nowadays we have lot more construction/infrastructure defects include objects falling from mall ceiling, air conditioner dropping from ceiling in cinema, condo swimming pool glass wall crashing, HDB/Condo flat unit defects, etc. Our lift malfunction causing death and injuries. And how many more not reported ?
Our IT systems crashes or malfunctions have become norm nowadays. DBS itself has few system crashes, and transaction issues too; SGX system crashes at least twice already, etc. How many more not reported?
3. Work accidents
We have become one of the top countries with workplace accident rates especially in construction and chemical related industries.
4. Nationalities Diversity
In my work experience, I see one nationality dominate a department sometimes as high as more than 80% which is common in IT industry. I always thought government will ensure nationality diversity in companies/organisations and departments. Would it be a risk especially data leak ?
4. Singaporean First
As a Singaporean II find it difficult get a job in my industry dominated by FTs even there are abundant opportunities in the industry. How many singaporean face the similar challenges especially experienced workers? Do we have concrete labour law (not those wayang regulations with loopholes) like those in Australia, HK and many other countries to protect singaporean from hiring managers who love to get their own home town people? Singaporean who are underemployed or unemployed for years will never have the skills/knowledge to be employable especially in technical sectors such as IT where technologies advance fast. It will make employers facing more challenges getting locals due to shrinking local talent pools.
5. Crimes
Are foreigners committing more crimes? Nowadays newspapers often don’t reveal nationality. Nowadays I don’t see it’s safe for girls to go to parks at night where lightings are dimmer.,

Is it due to CECA, the mass import of India nationals started? And there is lack of quality control of the worker quality? I remember the construction workers used to be Thai who are very hard working and high productivity but now replaced by the low productivity India workers. The shipping workers and I believe also oil refinery workers too all replaced by india workers. This amount to like more than 200K workers. Nowadays india workers can also work in manufacturing and restaurants and hospitality. Also stat boards like Govtech, LTA, PUB, and many other stat boards and educational and research institutions. This is in addition to the hottest sectors like IT, consulting, finance/banking. It seems they are coming in all sectors nowadays perhaps after every renewal of CECA which expires every 5 years.

All this population stuff is interesting with the backdrop of about 65% of the total world population have been injected, and when focused on Southeast Asia the percentage climbs to over 80% on average for minimum.
Already word on Twitter and Substack where information is less censored is we are seeing record jumps in deaths just for Singapore alone breaking all-time records.
China is having a demographic crisis and the youth there are also realizing the CPC connections required to go further up the social ladder are tuning them out of working harder than they need to. India the other major contributor to Singapore’s foreigner problem is 67% injected with already signs their locally made injection based off on one of the deadly shot brands is causing some ‘died suddenly’ cases, how many is hard to tell because media is silent on these things. It will be interesting to see how fast their population grows with the backdrop of the effects of the shot or its sterilization.
