Dr Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Jee Say endorse Tan Lin Lian

Author: In a surprising twist of events that may be construed as earth-shattering, Dr Tan Cheng Bock, who in 2011 almost became Singapore’s President losing by only 0.35% (7382 votes) to Dr Tony Tan has officially announced that he is endorsing Mr Tan Kin Lian for President.
In addition, Mr Tan Jee Say, 69, who was also a candidate in the 2011 Presidential Election has also openly endorsed Mr Tan Kin Lian. Mr Tan had secured 25.04% of the valid votes, trailing behind Dr Tan Cheng Bock. Mr Tan Jee Say is also Mr Tan Kin Lian’s proposer on nomination day.
Speaking to the media in a press conference after the trio’s joint appearance at People’s Park Food Centre, Dr Tan, speaking in his personal capacity as a previous presidential contender, extended his endorsement to Mr Tan Kin Lian.
He emphasized the need for an “independent president” and underscored the president’s crucial role in overseeing the nation’s reserves and ensuring the country’s competent governance, among other things.
Dr Tan passionately appealed to the voters to choose wisely by saying, “So today I want to plead with you to stand for what is right. Love your country by supporting the cause for an independent president. Your one vote counts; remember, your one vote counts. Make it worth it.”
Speaking in endorsement for Mr Tan Kin Lian, Mr Tan Jee Say said he had known the presidential candidate since the he was the CEO of NTUC Income, “I know he is bubbling with ideas all the time, what is good for the policyholders of insurance. That resonates with me, always customer-focused.”
“And I think he brings to this presidential election, that personal touch of concern for people, for customers. All the voters, all the Singaporeans are his customers. And he will work for their interests.” Mr Tan Jee Say expressed his confidence in Mr Tan Kin Lian.
Mr Tan Kin Lian also clarified that his campaign is independently financed, and both endorsing candidates were supporting “in their personal capacity.”
When responding to media query about a potential role for Dr Tan Cheng Bock and Mr Tan Jee Say in the Council of Presidential Advisers (CPA) if elected, Mr Tan Kin Lian expressed confidence in their shared vision, stating that both would be “excellent candidates to the council.”
“I’m glad that Cheng Bock and Jee Say have now endorsed my campaign. I will rely on their valuable advice to reach the people. I would like to express my sincere thanks for their support,” said Mr Tan Kin Lian.

All the aware and unaware smear campaigns must have pissed many people off so much so that even Dr Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Jee Say also 看不下去了.
Without their support, Tharman would have waltzed into Istana, but no, die die have to chut pattern and resort to underhand despicable methods, to the extent of using his own very young granddaughter to smear Tan Kin Lian.

TKL is not a member of any political party. TCB’s support is in his personal capacity, just as Tommy Koh and Kishore M’s support of Tharman. HC’s support of NKS can be read as from the Establishment, as $3b of the reserves are in his company accounts.Tharman is suspected to be in Jeffrey Epstein’s library. We do not know for sure but being in the World Economic Forum is suspicious. The last President was also from the minority. So we only have TKL to vote for.

I said this from the onset and I don’t mind saying it again. This Ng joker was planted to split votes, but the PEC made a mistake by disqualifying George, who will SURELY split the oppos vote. Instead they removed George and allowed Ng to continue, which means that being pro-establishment, the votes that he will end up splitting would be those diehards party votes, so the PEC just saboed the party. Without Ng, Tharman would have ALL the pro-es votes and now with Ng, these votes will be split between Tharman and him, since most pro-es are daft, most would believe Ng’s hoodwink that he is independent, so might prefer to vote for someone less establishment related.
IMHO, Ng is and will always be a court jester in this PE, and will lose the PE with the least number of votes, with or without TCB and TJS in the picture. Ng should just throw in the towel and return to his company to enjoy the 2% YEARLY commission from Temasick’s $3 BILLIOB investment (per industrial standard) instead of making a fool out of himself by ending the race last. And if abt $100 MILION commission YEARLY is not enough, just marry his fiancee and he would be a multi-bilionaire overnight, isn’t that better than throwing his face into the toilet bowl?
With George out of the ring, TKL, now with the support of TCB and TJS, will end up having most, if not all of the oppos votes. Therefore enhancing his chances of winning.
During the last PE 2011, the combined votes for the 3 Tans was 65%. So I am revising my forcast for 1st Sept to as follows:
TKL: 50%
TS: 35%
NKS: 15%
+- 5% between TS and NKS.
