What is courage?
Son: Dad, what is courage?
Father: It’s heart talk, son.
Son: What’s that? What language does the heart speak of?
Father: It’s the common language we are all too familiar with. The heart speaks of love, joy, hope, sorrow, fear, anger, shame, guilt, forgiveness and it goes on.
Son: That’s a lot to take in dad. How do I know whether I have courage or not?
Father: Well, our heart is a symbol of who we are. We use it to describe ourselves. A good heart, a bad one or a divided heart. We are defined by it. So courage is a heart decided.
Son: Decided?
Father: Yes, son, when the heart speaks, you have a conference of conflicting sentiments. It can get quite rowdy in there. For hurt wails. Anger screams. Lust hollers. But hope lifts. Peace whispers. And love overcomes. Usually the empty vessels make the most noise. Courage is the end result of that conference, at the end of the day. And when a decision is finally made, settled.
Son: Dad, you have to break that down for me. Is there a landing here? I thought they often say that courage is not the absence of fear, it is the overcoming of it?
Father: Sure son, that’s right. But the heart is hobbled by so much more. I have lived my life long enough to know that the heart is a battlefield. And courage comes out of something. It’s the last man standing, so to speak. There are fears and uncertainties. Courage strengthens the heart against them. There are lust and greed, and courage redirects the heart to what is of lasting value. And there is pain, sorrow. Courage is the faithful companion, one who whispers, “Walk on. Keep moving forward”.
Son: Well, courage needs to fill big shoes to do all that then.
Father: Mm…our feet grow into it. Nothing is a perfect fit from the outset. It is a process of discipline of the mind and heart. As we keep walking, keep believing, we grow in size, hope and confidence. Courage is just like that. You make thousands of decisions a day. Not all of them are consequential. Few are. But, for those that matter, courage fills in the gap. It gives you that needed push, sometimes a timely nudge, to make a settled choice. You then flow with it. You keep making it in that settled direction, tweaking it as you go, until you finally arrive.
Son: Wait, so dad, courage is the battle of wills? And it is a process that refines you?
Father: Yes son. Well put. Isn’t that what’s life all about? When you are knocked down, you come right back up. When you are in the valley, keep moving towards the light. Every step is a choice made. It is a battle within. The heart is always bombarded. But, courage is what comes out of that refining process, where you emerge with clarity and hope. At times, you don’t even know where the road is taking you. You can’t see further than your physical sight can cover. But courage doesn’t call it quits just because the road ahead is a blur.
Son: So, after all said, courage encourages? (smiles)
Father: Haha, however corny, yes. Incidentally, “en” means “put into” or “cover with”. So, en-courage is to put on or be covered with courage. It is the strengthening of our heart, to speak of what leans us towards hope. It’s faith talk too. Uncertainty, like failures, are but opportunities hidden. Sometimes well-camouflaged. We need to press on even more and uncover them. God grants us u-turns so that the journey does not end with dead ends.
Son: Thanks dad. It’s a lot of heart talk here. Will digest them as I take my own faith walk in this life. Love you.
Dad: Love you too. Take heart, son. Take courage. Take care too.

Simply to me,COURAGE IS NOT FOOLHARDINESS.
True Courage is MORAL.
Maybe,it is like David vs Goliath?
Bad hats can be errantly viewed as courageous too.
Courage is the will and the guts to do WHAT IS RIGHT AND NECESSARY.

Son: Whats is courage Dad?
Dad: Courage is finding your own way out of $inkeland as fast as possible. If you can’t do that then stay away from $tupid $inkies, their KPKB mentality and go your own way. They will wail about the Regime, but will run to theese clowns when something scares them. Everything scares $inkies. This is why we live on an island infested with FT and run by fools.
Have the courage not to be their political sacrificial goat when they do not have the balls to vote out the Regime and expect you to suffer for them. You see son, the $tupid $inkies are always looking for someone to hide behind and take the blame for them. The smart people have given up politics as the $inkies will discard you once you fail. More than that, the $inkies will blame you for their problems. Only the adulterers and blur sotong remain to take the monthly salary because they will fail in the world outside.
More than courage do not be stupid and let the $inkies suffer for their own actions. This is how you should live in $inkeland. Be strong be wise but above all do not be fooled by $inkies
Son: Thanks dad. That makes a lot of sense. I think I know how to live wisely in $inkieland now.

Courage is for people dare to put up few hundred thousand of dollars, some even made bankrupt, to stand up to the establishment.
In SG, only about 40% voters dare to vote for change. The rest just waiting for others to do so.

Courage is not being a tortoise when invited to field questions from young Singaporeans. They asked the most innocent questions which a true-hearted person should have no problem answering. Someone declares to be the people’s president but don’t even dare to face the young people and field questions.
He also doesn’t respect reporters that are covering news and getting answers from him. He rudely refused to answer one reporter, and kept on texting on his phone when another reporter was asking him some questions. At the end of his messaging, he even had the cheek to ask that reporter to repeat the question.
Tell me what kind of character is this. Tell me honestly what if someone does the same thing to you. Tell me what happens when he does that in front of dignitaries, or people he doesn’t like.
TKL promises of COI on ‘scandals’ is also an article send to TRE by their media team. However, not a single fart from him so far about COI when he makes his public speeches. I guess he has different speeches for different section of the people, you know – hear the good thing. Not really believable, or unifying for that matter, is it?
Even posters hanging upside down also make it to the news. This posters hanging upside down usually commoners like us make fun and laugh it off. Can you imagine as a leader of a political party using this against his opponent? What kind of mentality is that?
Courage is also asking TKL and Lim Tean to pay for the upgrade of the TRE server. TRE has been a great news outlet for TKL and Lim Tean. There are a lot of their supporters here as well. Unfortunately, donations is still languishing around $3k. Why is the support for TKL not reciprocated? You mean with supporters like TCB, they cannot even make a personal donation (not from the party of course) of $5k to TRE? Unless, to them, TRE is just another trivial place with only some frogs as supporters.

Without a doubt, I am your so call 40% who has always voted for the opposition party in my GRC. No matter who is in team, I have always wanted the opposition in Parliament. My rational is that the oppositions will not allow the PAP to simply pass any bills without debates. Even better still, the oppositions can form the government and revamp the whole system, checking on previous government misdeeds.
But here we are voting a singular person of character for President. I will not just want anybody to represent me and Singapore. So it’s definitely not about 40% voting for a change in this scenario. PS. I am not saying that I am voting for anyone else either.

Every Singapore knows ST. Only new ignorant people will fall for their traps. When the prey is absent, it’s turned into a plp session.
You ask your candidates and dare them to face questions at TRE.

TRE always declare neutrality. You see so many pappy ibs, such as free rider. Why pappy ibs don’t share their easy earnings with TRE?
