I believe there’re ‘hidden corruption’ in the system.

Take the recent case of corruption investigation of the PAP minister, he was caught by accident only.
This was somewhat proudly announced by the CPIB.

In other words, that PAP minister is just unlucky.
So are there cases undetected because those people were lucky?

Also PAP, again, proudly declared that PAP don’t track the personal life of it ministers.
Is corruption a personal life of ministers?

They’re lucky not getting caught is because they make their own luck by doing ownself check ownself.

The ministers indeed ownself make ownself lucky.

THE “JAGA” OF OUR SGS’ RESERVES(NOT GOVT RESERVES OR PARTY RESERVES) MUST BE ABLE TO “BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE” AS TO HOW RESERVES DRAWDOWNS ARE BEING DISBURSED.
This implies PROPER AUDITTING OF HOW THE GOVT OF THE DAY WHO REQUESTED FOR SUCH DRAWDOWNS APPLY SUCH RESERVES.
THE EP MUST HAVE LEEWAY TO ENSURE ANY DRAWDOWNS ARE EQUITABLY APPLIED FOR THE BENEFITS,FIRST,OF ALL CITIZENS AND THEN OTHERS LIVING AND WORKING HERE.

THE FACT THAT MANY NEEDY BUT DESERVING SGS RECEIVED A MERE GRANT OF $600 AGAINST A CLAIMED GRANT PER CAPITA OF $23.5K WHILE MANY NON-SGS WORKING HERE RECEIVED AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF THE $23.5K ILLUSTRATES INEQUITY AND UNFAIRNESS.

A PROPER PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE NEEDS TO BE TABLED TO DISCOURSE HOW FUTURE WITHDRAWALS SHOULD BE DISBURSED AND ACCOUNTED FOR.

WHY NOT FROM THOSE WITH HIGH SALARIES AND RECEIVED PROPORTIONATELY MUCH MORE FROM THE COVID BUDGETS?
AND,WHY NOT CUT WAGES THEN INSTEAD?
IT IS A VIABLE OPTION.

THE JAGA MUST BE ALLOWED TO JAGA PROPERLY.
He can not just “HAND OVER THE KEY” TO THE REQUESTOR WITHOUT FOLLOWING UP PROPERLY.

Btw Botak has previously commented that a family earning $1000/month can afford to PURCHASE A HDB FLAT! Independence of the president is an important factor, but not the only factor. I would normally vote for the independent candidate, but in this case, the problem is that the “most independent” candidate TKL is really weak – senile, has made weird comments including on pretty girls and making nric information public domain, and is staunch supporter of China Communist Party and against democracy! and now he is not even independent as clearly he is now a mascot (or even puppet) of opposition parties.

independence is important, but not a proxy for opposition parties who wants to disrupt the govt. in their quest for power, they will logjam the govt, and singapore will go down the drain.

The further complication in this elections is the government candidate Tharman is very strong (it is not a Tony Tan or Nathan – Halimah no need to talk lah). Well-respected and a really good guy. Remember Ong Teng Cheong was a similar candidate to Tharman, and proved to be a great president. Tharman could well follow suit.

NKS is a solid candidate and I could have gone for him. But with opposition supporters grouping around TKL and PAP supporters around Tharman, NKS has practically no chance. So there is it – support Tharman, and I urge all to do so. The battle around policies are to be fought in the general elections, not in this presidential elections.
