Author: These convictions and sentences are crazy. I recall my Chinese friend and I were in JB watching the rap of Subhas and his sister. We laughed at the comments made about the Chinese. Why would any chinese feel insulted? We are the majority. Surely we can take criticisms and comments better than any minority race.
What is happening to us Singaporeans? Who is having thin skin or no skin? Do we need to have the skins of our leaders who for the slightest criticism would sue and sue?This is absolute madness.

I think after 58years, we should all be referred to as Singaporeans. It will then remove racial divisions. By jailing Subhas,we are giving too much recognition to his rants.As TSL says you can laugh at it or choose to get all worked up about it. The choice is yours to make not Subhas. There is really no need to send him to prison when people like LMW, in the Parti Lyani’s case have not even been arrested. Which is a bigger crime?

If we are all known as Singaporeans, how can foreigners differentiate us ?
Some are yellow skinned, Black skinned, Brown skinned etc. Some have straight hair, curly haired, bald etc. Some have slant eyes, some have big round eyes etc. Some wear Sari, some wear Baju Kurong, some wear Western clothes and some do not wear anything. Some speak Chinese, some speak Malay, some speak Tamil, some speak dialects and some speak English, some speak Singlish.
So how can a foreigner describe a Singaporean when he meets one ? Please tell me how ?
The best way for them is to describe local as Singaporean Chinese or Singaporean Malay or Singaporean Tamil or Singaporean Eurasian.
