A tale of two cities SG is not. I think it is a tale of two generations. An older generation in their 50s and above who had a relatively good run during the golden years. And a younger generation who had it rough especially those born after the 90s. These are the ones who enjoyed nothing of the confidence and euphoria that their parents felt growing up.

They are the ones more likely to support the oppositions. The MIW understand this but are not too worried because the locally born natives are small due to the falling TFR. To balance the negative impact from the natives, the MIW had brought in new citizens who tend to vote for the ruling party out of gratitude and a sense of pride and confidence in their new country. This is nothing new but a UMNO-era strategy pursued by our neighbour, Malaysia.

SG do have Swiss standards of living but it only last for half (or at best 1) generation. After that it is the SQUEEZE standard whereby you get squeezed for education, jobs, housing, cars and everything else.

Swiss standard of living is for millionisters past and present. Many of them stayed in cabinet past their expiry dates in order to collect millions$$$$ to retire well !!! Even Woody once said d millionisters pays are mediocre and should be increased !! So greedy and never thought of the lower end or rung of the population who are struggling to bring food on the dining tables !!
A country’s wealth should be shared with all levels of the society. How loopsided our society is right now !!

A little snippet of life in singapore.
Those who love char kway teow, with seehum, at hawker centers, food court or kopidiam would probably share my experiences.
So far, the serving I get can hardly see the seehum because they are so tiny, if any.
Across the causeway, the char kway teow is not only cheaper but seehum you can see from a mile(you get what I mean).

The humble char kway teow speaks all that there is about the standard of living in singapore. A place that is good to look at from the outside but but you will have to contain your distaste of the state of affairs beneath the many layers of surfaces.

I have witness too many food joints and businesses fail over the years – glaring fruits of rots.

People may generate enough ambition, idea and even the right recipe for their businesses but after some time, take food for instance, the cook and staff will soon ruin the dinning experiences for most average folks – unless you are as wealthy or influential as the ministers.

A combination of too many infusion of careless foreign with careless and half baked local employers, professionals, cooks,staff and service workers will turn this place into a cold and souless existence. The icing on the cake is a slow death, quietly choked by increasing costs of living and demand at work places.

Only look good on the outside but on the inside, corrupted like he!!

I used to hear rumors that there are 2 camps in the party, one headed by ESM, so it is entirely possible that the cleanse has begun and the LEEder will spare no efforts to “take good care” of those pests who may hinder Horny’s succession.

I too understood there are not just two but a number of cockroach factions. However the Civil Service is loyal to Unholy Goh and his gang. It is very unlikely the ballsless will try to challenge him directly. Or they may see another Iswaran suddenly being investigated. The Dead Despot threatened Toh Chin Chye and Rajaratnam when they opposed his heavy handed behaviour. The unfilial son is capable of such things do not doubt it. He has nothing to lose.

Harder Truths:

This is the problem right here, that $inkieland is not about quality or hard work or $inkes, but bad quality and lower cost for locals and shady deals with gangsters that drive up land prices and everything else. In other words $inkeland survives because it is a gangster hub. Whether the locals live or die does not matter – they can be replaced.

We are living the life of the cheapest FT than can take our jobs coupled with the most expensive goods and services the elites enjoy.
