Criminal groups from China spreading out to South East Asia (SEA) including Singapore- Business Times (BT) online, 25 September 2023.
The money laundering crackdown on the Fujian gang in Singapore is a recent event but according to BT, Chinese criminal tentacles and activities have spread and taken roots in SEA for over a good number of years alearly.
They were reported in the Philippines, Australia and in, particular, Cambodia and Myanmar etc and apart from money laundering, many who are based in those countries commit all sorts of criminal activities such as online casino, illegal money lending, luring and recruiting unsuspecting people with promises of high salaries to work overseas and particularly targeting the young, the desperados, the greedy, the not so young etc in China, Taiwan and Malaysia etc. So far, Singaporeans do not seem to be on their radar yet.
Such stories and reports of cross border police co-operations to tackle them are many on the internet. All things considered, I believe what I have read .
From what is known so far, among others, many who were successfully tricked into Myanmar were forced to scam online targeting unsuspecting victims in China with kpi and often threaten with vicious physical assault if they failed to perform to satisfaction, shock them into submission with electric batons, gang rape or even have their organs harvested...
I suspect that one of the key reason why so many suckerporeans who are really easy fat meats and have not been targeted yet is because of language barriers but that is unlikely to remain unchanged for long.
Given what is happening in our part of the world for such a loong period of time and given that one of the key responsibilities of the government is to protect its citizens, I ask why is the pap government so very quiet about this whole developments and have not raised any warnings, alarms, mount any public education or campaigns etc to warn our citizens about them, dangers that are potentially devastating and fatal and lurking so close to us?
I ask if K. Shanmugam and VB are too busy enjoying their palatial black and white bungalows and suing people or that cunning and clever talking Indranee too busy defending her suspended from duty colleague to continue collecting his fat MP allowance instead of warning our people about the clear, close and present danger.
Even though I am an opposition supporter, I sincerely do not wish any pap supporter or their children to fall prey to those criminal syndicates, landed somewhere overseas and become easy meat at their mercy while waiting to be exploited, become 'suka lu puseng' sexual plaything and resign to their folly and fate.
This is just one example of how this current pap government has disappointed me much.

Aren’t the scammers and their families allowed to live in Singapore? How can there be so many without the govt’s approval of their visas? One criminal lived close to LHL. So the policy could be based on the amount of monies you bring in and a blind eye is turned on. Only if the UN, DOJ or other International institutions raise it openly, then there is a big show to capture these criminals. These 10 with their families have been here for four years. How many more criminals are allowed stay here because their own States are not calling out our govt. for harbouring criminals? Soon murders, violent crimes, cheating etc will be on the rise in Singapore. Perhaps for the 70% to change, they must experience job loss,murder to family members and violent crimes. It will not take long as the criminals are already here and they will take over.

If the billionaires are coming to create jobs for Singaporeans, it should be the EDB route. Pushing property prices up, causes costs to go up for the population as we are now experiencing. I am suspecting his credentials as a Mathematician. Could be only of academic value. We and our children are paying and will continue to pay more for this PM’s refusal to protect the State and population from money launderers and criminals. With so much prior cases and experiences in property bubbles e.g. USA, Europe, japan , SK , Taiwan , HK , even Sg. How come China end up with the biggest property bubble in the history. I thought it impacts me and our fellow Singaporean so I came in read this article.
What bothers me is the massive influx of CECANs displacing my and fellow singaporean jobs especially when their kind of hiring managers don’t like recruit Singaporean and they can easily circumvent the employment regulations such as mass import their kind through intra cooperate transfer.
So what PRC criminal activities the writer talking about? It doesn’t impact my employment, social safety and especially our Singaporean ladies who fear molest, etc. crimes would go up.

Money launderers affect the property market as they push the prices up. This in turn pushes rentals up and food costs also moves up as we are experiencing. So the CECANS take away the jobs and the money launderers cause inflation to shoot upwards.70% can afford the rise. It is the poor 30% who are badly affected. So rightfully, LW should only help the 30% not the entire 2.5m population.
