Don’t rush to take sides on complex issues such as Israel-Hamas conflict

I refer to the TODAY’s Commentary: “Black or white? Wrong or right? Don’t rush to take sides on complex issues such as Israel-Hamas conflict” (Oct 17).
In the past three weeks, the Israeli Air Force has been carrying out multiple air strikes of hospitals, civilian houses, suspected Hamas hiding places and its ammunition depots in the Gaza Strip. Israeli deadly attacks had caused at least 7,000 Palestinian civilians, dozens of Hamas militants and 28 medical personnel killed or injured (including many innocent children).
At the same time, Hamas militants were not willing to show weakness or compromise, and continued to attack Israel’s northern and southwestern cities with rockets, causing more than a thousand casualties among Israeli civilians and soldiers.
With today Israel’s national power (in terms of economy, per capita net income, GDP) and military strengths, it would be easy for Israel to fight and win a long war against the Hamas armed militants organisation and any Middle East countries. However, the key is that the Gaza Strip has fallen into hell on earth (More than two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip live in dire conditions without water, electricity, food, and medicine. In addition, inestimable human casualties and property losses) and the Middle East will be involved in the shadow of never-ending war.
In order to prevent the military conflict between Israel, Hamas and other related parties (Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Yemen) from further deteriorating and the entire Middle East being involved in turbulent situations, the international community must make unremitting efforts to promote peace talks and achieve an Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire and reconciliation as soon as possible, preferably a certain consensus can be reached and a peaceful and win-win outcome can be achieved.
Therefore, the international community may wish to consider the two-state theory of Palestine and Israel proposed by China. Let the Palestinians enjoy fair, reasonable and humane treatment as soon as possible and forever.
On October 21, Zhai Jun, the Chinese government's special envoy for the Middle East issue, stressed that China will continue to work with relevant parties in the international community to make unremitting efforts to quell the war in Gaza as soon as possible, support the Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate national rights, and implement the "two-state solution" .
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on its official website that Zhai Jun said in his speech at the Cairo Peace Summit on the Palestinian Issue that day that China is highly concerned about the development of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict situation and is deeply concerned about the sharp escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, resulting in large-scale civilian casualties and humanitarian crises.
China is unwaveringly condemning all acts that harm civilians, oppose any violations of international law, and urge an immediate halt to military operations that further aggravate the situation and the opening of humanitarian relief channels.
Zhai Jun emphasized that the continued escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict once again proved that the Palestinian issue cannot be ignored or forgotten.
Despite all, China deeply believes that the fundamental way out to resolve the recurring conflict between Palestine and Israel is to implement the "two-state solution", establish an independent Palestinian state, and achieve peaceful coexistence between Palestine and Israel.
Moreover, on Oct 23, the United Nations secretary general Antonio Guterres remarked to the Security Council - on the Middle East, he had hinted the attacks by Hamas could not be seen in a vacuum but followed decades of occupation. Guterres had also accused Israel of clear violations of humanitarian law in the Gaza Strip, and insisted that a humanitarian ceasefire was vital. He also suggested that for the long-term peace in the Gaza Strip, it’s constructive to seek/resolve to “two-state solution”.

Clearly this is no longer a Palestinian or Jews affair or who is right or wrong or who deserved to be killed or who is not. There is nothing complex to what is happening in Gaza and Israel, sinple and straight-forward fact is that innocent civilians are being murdered.
The murdering of innocent civilians should NEVER be condoned nor allowed, Jews or Palestinians, PERIOD.
Fact:
1. Hamas murdered Jews,
2. Israel massacred Palestinians,
3. America aided and abetted Israel and is complicit in the massacre.
All of the above needs to be condemned and taken to task.
This is no longer a war between Palestinians and Jews, it is a war against humanity and countries that are capable should put a stop to it, by force if necessary.
