Damned, call me wick*d if you will, but I am really looking forward to seeing Israel carrying out its threat of invading Gaza completely.

Without such a full invasion, those in Gaza are practically sitting ducks, waiting to be slaughtered, but with such an invasion, it would be a more balanced fight with other parties getting involved, if they meant what they say.

Worst case scenario, those who made so much noise all No Action Talk Only (NATO), Gaza gets conquered and Palestinians are all killed. Israel wins, US claims credit and makes tons of money in the process. War stops and everyone in the world moves on, dio bo?

A more interesting scenario is the 3rd parties really carrying out its threat (to attack Israel) and igniting a full-blown war, with the US fighting a multi-front battle with Iran proxies, while Israel gets toast.

Talk nice nice to Israel, they act like God no hue no listen, thinking that the biggest gangster on planet Earth will have their back. this NetandYahoo deserves to be taught a very very hard lesson for the massacre of thousands of innocent civilians.

And the US are boasting that they have “2,000 marines in the waters off the coast of Lebanon, slicing through those waters and very prepared to support Israel by striking Hezbollah”, if necessary. 2000 marines versus 150,000 in Hezbollah, serious or not? These marines no matter how well trained, are bullet proof, cannot be killed by gun fire and bombs meh?

Hypothetically, I wonder how the 2000 marines who will invade Lebanon to take out Hezbollah would perofrm, if say the Hezbollah decides to adopt a “scorch earth” stance and dump all its arsenal of 150,000 missiles and rockets at Israel?

From the information I can gather, Israel has 5 Iron Dome air defense batteries (US sending 2 more and some SAMs). Each battery of Iron Dome is loaded with 20 x 3 missiles and has to be reloaded when all has been fired, and that takes time.

An Iron Dome battery consists of three pieces of equipment: an ELM-2084 Multi-Mission Radar capable of tracking 1,200 incoming rockets at once; a battle management and weapon control system, typically a trailer with human controllers and the unit commander inside; and 3–4 firing units. Each firing unit holds 20 Tamir interceptors in a ready-to-fire position.

Simple math: At a single go, the Iron Dome can take out 20 x 7 x 3 (firing units) = 420 invading missiles and rockets going into Israel, and then it has to be reloaded. And when these batteries are exhausted of missiles and being reloaded, Hezbollah already has 150,000 missiles and rockets flying into Israel, enough to wipe out 1/2 of Israel, with (150,000 – 420) remaining missiles and rockets that the Iron Dome did not take out.

So tell me, how is Israel well protected, even if the US carrier group help to take out some of these invading missiles if it is based in Sicily, that is hundreds of miles away?

And I am only basing the above on a single entity, an attack by Hezbollah alone. What if Syria, Lebanon and Iran, not forgetting Turkey gets into the picture also?

As an aside, Israel has gone on record to say that it is prepared to nuke anyone who intervenes, I wonder what would be their reaction if the same threat is uttered to Israel, that the Hezbollah would initiate a “scorch earth” against Israel if they invade Gaza.
