Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades has released the video of second batch of hostages who were handed over to Red Cross last night In Gaza near Rafah Crossing with Egypt. • Will Israel twist the narrative to accuse hamas of rape, violence and murder of the hostages?

Using common sense, if someone takes me as a hostage, I am supposed to hate and be very angry with them, but why are the hostages holding hands, smiling and waving goodbye?

The logical explanation is that they have become friends and the hostages understand the dire straits that the Palestinians are in.

    Anyone disagrees?

Stockholm syndrome normally develops over a PROLONG period of time, or else all those who were imprisoned in Changi serving short time would be suffering from one.

UNLESS it is for a PROLONG period of time, not all hostages would be suffering from Stockholm syndrome for the tolerance level of each individual is different, maybe young children are more susceptible?

To have almost all of the release hostages showing a friendly response towards Hamas is quite impossible unless they were really treated well, don’t you think?

Lucky ones are able to smile and thank them, what about the unlucky ones?

I think the hostages who are able to smile and wave goodbye are the most compassionate people.

This is war, it is normal for hostages to be taken. However, how they are being treated is a different issue and I doubt israel has/will do the same to its hostages. In fact, Israel has never bothered to take any hostages, they prefer to kill them.

As for your disclaim of humane, please watch this https://www.tremeritus.net/2023/11/28/from-israeli-hostage-to-hamas-with-thanks/ and repeat your disclaim of “humane” again.

If ANY hostages died in captivity, I am certainly sure that it would be due to the bombs dropped in Gaza by Israel for the Hamas have now been PROVEN to have treated their hostages “very well”, compared to the Israelis.

Why is it that so many have preconceived notions of Hamas or terrorists groups as all being cruel and killers? The well being of the hostages was important as it was the exchange of women and children in Israeli prisons that Hamas worked towards. They must have tried negotiating with the Israeli govt. and must have taken this decision because they may have been refused and became desperate to free their people.

Media from Israel reported that some of the people killed ON OCT. 7TH were due to Israeli combatants. The Israeli govt. up to date has not identified all those who were killed. WHY? The nos.given also differ, from 1400 now it is 1200. Tomorrow it may be 600.

The US,UK OR tHE Israeli govt. have not explained why 8300 Palestinian women and children are in Israeli prisons. Instead of siding any country, we should recognize and call out all injustice against humankind despite their race or religion.

It is so amazing to see that people can be SO NAIVE HERE.
SAME AS THOSE OUT THERE ASKING “FREE PALESTINIAN”.
NO ONE WANTS TO FREE TIBET AND FREE XIJIANG?

The very basic questions to ask:
    1. It is a show clip made by Hamas, provided by Hamas, directed by Hamas, edited by Hamas!
    2. You are still in the hands of terrorists and you see the video pointing at you, are you going to scream rape? Or going to cooperate and end it soon, get out of the hell?
    3. Hamas could have asked for kisses and hugs if that did not give us all goosebumps! Perhaps even make love infront of the camera to proof love?
    4. You have gunmans escort by the side all times all the way into the red-cross vehicles, and at night. Did you even ask why?

How simple minded some people here can be, while trying hard to be sophisticated.

Because the fascist says so, it must be so?

    @Lalang Gaja

Again, most of the released hostages have Stockholm syndrome in less than 2 months, what’s the probability of that? Imprisoned Palestinians, hundreds of them, most of them for years, why no Stockholm syndrome? Jews are weaker than Palestinians mentally?

Because they are freedom fighters, they have to be bad, they are not human beings and cannot show compassion.

Just wondering when you take the hostages, do you think your opponents will take action (bomb)?
Anyway, this is old story. As long the hostages are released and they are happy with it, it is more important. That’s why i said they are the compassionate ones.

Btw, i am not on Israel side, i am just commenting on the actions. I won’t do comparison because how they are treated depends on their karma.

My answer remains the same, it is NORMAL for hostages to be taken in a war. This topic is about how the hostages were being treated, not about why the hostages were taken.

Going by your logic, I could extrapolate (attested by documented historical fact, ruled by ICC) that it all beings with Israel’s invading of Palestinians land.

Had Israel NOT invaded Palestinians’ land, then Hamas would not have existed and there would be no need to take hostages, dio bo?

We can then go on and on and on and move further back to the Otto empire, then move again to blame Christ for the current situation because it was he who supposedly said that the Jews are the “chosen people”. Then we could continue with the new and old Testaments, and poll the Romans into the picture, so on and so forth.

Just for the sake of painting the Palestinians in a bad light, such an argument have meaning or not?

    Hey, use some thinking!

In China, there is something call 悔過書! Even you are not wrong, you will write that you are guilty!

If you are going to be released from my kidnap holding in 5 hours, and I come to you asking you to write a commendable letter, what will you do? Huh? You may even be happy to write me a recommendation letter, recommending everyone to be kidnapped by me! Agree boh? Want to ask them to write again when they returned home to Israel?

Furthermore, some of those returned victims still have family members held hostage.

TRE Tech: What about what the Israelis did to their prisoners? that’s acceptable because they are not Hamas?

First, you do not have the full context of each individual cases, do you?
The only thing you know is the end result?

It is just like Tom started a fight with Jerry by spitting at Jerry and kicked Jerry in the stomach. Then by the time Jerry got on his foot, Jerry wacked the hell out of Tom. Dick came by and took out the phone and recorded how Jerry beat up Tom.

So everyone watched the video clip and judged Jerry was the attacker.

I do not stand on the side of aggression even if it is Israel. However, I am not naive in this age of technology and know how low a human is, and capable of forging lies with no moral limits.

Christ has never said the Jews are the chosen people. It is the Jews themselves who said it of themselves repeatedly and wrote it in their religious books. The promised land that many think is Palestine is also a claim the Jews make based on the story of Moses who went up a mountain alone and met God. He never came down the mountain again. It is claimed that God showed him Palestine and said it was the Promised Land but Moses died on the mountain. God may have shown him the spiritual world or the entire world but no one actually knows as Moses, his body or grave cannot be found. Some believe that Joshua, Moses’ successor wrote it but who is actually to know.

She was safely back home, out of harm’s way and she made the same statement about her captors to an international press. Was she under duress, did Hamas threaten to bomb her home in Israel or maybe assassinate her, Hamas wrote the script for her before her release?

In case you cannot read without VPN, let me copy & paste part of the news here for you to read!

    Thu 30 Nov 2023 01.27 AEDT
An 85-year-old Israeli peace activist who was kidnapped by Hamas and later released, described how she confronted the Hamas chief, Yahya Sinwar, in a Gaza tunnel and told him he should be “ashamed of himself” for his role in ordering the 7 October massacre of 1,200 Israelis.

Yocheved Lifshitz, who was freed in October before the current series of hostage and Palestinian prisoner releases, said she met Sinwar in a part of the Hamas tunnel network where she was being held captive, which she previously described as an extensive warren.

“Sinwar was with us three to four days after we arrived. I asked him how he is not ashamed to do such a thing to people who have supported peace all these years,” Lifshitz told the Hebrew-language newspaper Davar, while attending a protest for the return of hostages still held by Hamas on Tuesday evening.

“He didn’t answer,” she added. “He was silent.”

Lifshitz, who spent years campaigning for peace between Israelis and Palestinians, is the latest released hostage to indicate she had encountered Sinwar during her captivity as it emerged that hostages held in different places by different factions appeared to have experienced different conditions of imprisonment.

With her husband, Oded, 83, who is still being held by Hamas, Lifshitz had helped sick Palestinians in Gaza get to hospitals in Israel.

    For self-consciousness:

    1. Manipulation and indoctrination: The individual may have been subjected to intense manipulation and indoctrination techniques by a charismatic leader, group, or ideology. This can include deceptive information, isolation from dissenting viewpoints, mind control tactics, and emotional manipulation.

    2. Cognitive dissonance: The person may be experiencing cognitive dissonance, a state where a person holds two conflicting beliefs simultaneously. They may have been convinced of certain beliefs through brainwashing techniques, but deep down, they may have doubts or conflicting thoughts. To reduce this discomfort, they might project their doubts onto others, claiming that they are the ones who are brainwashed.

    3. Confirmation bias: The person may suffer from confirmation bias, a tendency to seek out information that confirms pre-existing beliefs and ignore or dismiss contradictory evidence. By refusing to acknowledge the possibility that they themselves have been brainwashed, they reinforce their own beliefs and reinforce the notion that others are the ones manipulated.

    4. Groupthink and social reinforcement: The individual may be part of a tightly knit group or community that reinforces their beliefs, discourages dissent, and promotes an “us vs. them” mentality. People within such groups often engage in collective rationalization, bolstering each other’s belief systems, and fueling the perception that anyone outside the group is the one who is brainwashed.

The hostages are probably grateful to HAMAS for keeping them alive while their own armed forces was trying to kill them. The common shared goal by all in GAZA is staying alive. So the kidnapper becomes their friend because he can keep them alive. This is a basic survival instinct.
