Today year 2023, Americunt/Israel has overtaken Chinacunt to be world’s number 1 oppressive and repressive regime.

In Money We Tru$t, Money the Glory. Ask Pastor Kong/Sun and MinYi.

btw, do you know why Muslim Arab Nations refused to take in Palestinian refugees?
Because Palestinian refugees when had the numbers, they will attempt to overthrow the host government who are kind towards them.

This is ridiculous. Running absolutely everything, including 300 year-old utterances, Zionism is repugnant even to Jews. Antisemitism had been used to keep Jews out of most areas of the economy; when these barriers collapsed or were removed, Jews exploded into these areas. Many of the Nazi Heidegger’s most influential students were Jewish. Right but we should make a distinction between anti-Judaism (opposition to a theology) and anti-semitism (hatred of a people). I fear that Anti-Semitism has been a constant of European (and American) life, and likely permeated every aspect of its society over the past two thousand years.

For Jews, though, this is phenomenon is a matter of life and death. One just needs to google “anti-semitism” to find people wondering and questioning why anti-semitism appears to persist, even in the face of massive genocide of millions during the Shoah. IMHO it persists because of the legacy of western philosophy which sees Judaism as retrogressive, wrong, and even evil, compared to “progressive” Christianity and all its philosophical derivatives.

Given the narratives offered in the gospels for the crucifixion of Jesus, narratives that largely seek to exonerate Pilate and place the blame on the Jews of the period, coupled to their emphasis that Jesus must be the fulfillment of Hebrew scripture, I fear that the deeper we dig into any historic European figure, the more likely it is that we are going to encounter Anti-Semitic attitudes. And the same is probably true as we seek sift for racist attitudes.

Philosophy and racism, sexism, anti-semitism, etc. in the works of great philosophers? All great philosophers, indeed all great thinkers in general, must be read critically. Sometimes they are ahead of their time, sometimes they are no better then their times, Sometimes they are worse than their times . Critical thinking requires us to separate the good stuff from the bad stuff, and never think that something is true just because a great thinker said it. Kant was wrong when he said the entire universe existed in our mind. He was also wrong when he said bad things about Jews. I don’t see there is any significant difference between acknowledging either fact.

Perhaps the history of philosophy should be taught by history professors? This would free up philosophy professors to apply the Socratic method and engage students in rational dialogue on any topic without reference to any person or book. Would we not have a better chance of creating a more just and less bigoted world if we created an academic space where students are forced to confront their own beliefs and decide how to live their lives without appeals to authority or through deference to others?

    –Cont’d–

There is, in theory, no inherent contradiction between recognizing the right of the Jewish People to self-determination in a state in which they constitute the majority that also ensures full civic equality for its minorities. If the objection is that no state furthering the collective culture, language and aspirations of a particular ethnic group.

Why shouldn’t Jews have a state? It’s a pretty tiny one, too. History tells us that even when the Jewish people are granted citizenship in other states, the tide can turn, citizenship can be revoked and the Jews can be threatened with expulsion and even extinction. I can’t think of a better reason for creating a state than to give an historically persecuted people a homeland in which they can govern and defend themselves. The Arabs in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Dubai have no problem in recognizing Jews as a people…a Jew is not permitted to enter Saudi Arabia.

Perhaps Mr. Ritter should spend his spare time excoriating the “nations” of the world on their treatment of Jews, not the other way around.

  • I am so confused now, here in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h86f6ouQ6EI), the author claims the Jews worship Jesus, but my recollection is that the Jews’ religion is Judaism, not Christianity, no?

In fact, it was the Jews that sold Jesus out to the Roman, did they not?

It is not unusual for those of us who study philosophy’s history to find in the same figure challenging and important ideas and lines of thought together with completely unacceptable ideas and attitudes. Reading philosophy is not like reading a textbook in one of the sciences. Philosophy is there to be argued with, to sift, to examine from different sides and in different contexts, to challenge with objections and competing perspectives and arguments. It is sometimes to linger with and sustain questioning and controversy.

Zionism is about Jews yearning for return to their ancestral home, but it is also about Jews who escaped ethnic cleansing in Arab countries (and the horror of the Shoah) finding safe harbor.

Call it anti-Zionism, anti-nationalism, anti-fascism – what have you. I call it anti-semitism. Rejection of Zionism is a maximalist position — that Jews should have a state of their own, a small step away from saying that Jews are not entitled to self-determination anywhere. This perspective is offensive–there a lots of Muslim and Arab countries–and inherently antisemitic. I call it baring one’s neck to someone with a knife who has been swearing to kill him/her and their families, and doing just that at every opportunity, for decades.

Peace will only come about when Palestinians and their supporters give up the notion that they can and should rid the world of its sole Jewish nation. Like most other supporters of Israel, I will freely acknowledge Israel’s FLAWS. These flaws do not, however, negate its right to exist.

I have always argued – along with some of my Jewish friends – that the treatment of Palestinians, the settlements etc. are intolerable. That kind of criticism never seemed antisemitic to me. October 7th changed that! It has become clear that Hamas wants to eradicate Israel from the map, and with it all Jewish people. So now, when my friends on the left (and they are all on the left) call Israel an Apartheids state, an oppressor, a colonialist, all I can do is ask them: are you willing to accept that seven million Jews will be either killed or have to leave their home? Is that ok with you? If they answer with yes, or can’t answer at all, they are antisemites. I am afraid I am losing quite a lot of friends right now.

What now? Hamas/IDF committed horrific acts, but they belong to the same Abrahamic faiths in a long context of genocidal terrorism. That is not to excuse them, but rather to call on us to step back and ask how to put an end to it all. Will it happen? No.

  • Not I say one, but most in the world feel that Jews are basically fascist and thinks that they are a superior being, the rest are all garbage.

The Jews think that they are the “chosen one” when in actual fact, they misquoted the bible to their own benefit. Someone said their religion is not Christianity but Judaism, they don’t worship Jesus at all.

If the world is saying so, then there must be some truth to it, no?

Are Jews still God’s “chosen people” today? My answer hinges on what is meant by “chosen.” God chose the Israelites to be His people and His representatives in the world before Jesus became a person. God made promises with them, some of which have yet to be fulfilled and others which have already been. God will maintain all of the promises He made to Israel during the Old Covenant; He will do so to Israel, not the Church. One day, the prophesy of an earthly kingdom controlled by a Messiah or King, for example, will come true. The promise of land inheritance will be fulfilled as well, for God promised Israel “from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be” (Deuteronomy 11:24).

Believers might say that God gets angry at times and delivers punishment in the same way that God gets happy at times and delivers reward even to his ow “chosen”. But I don’t imagine God is particularly pleased with his “investment” (Oy!) In fact, one of the best descriptions of how He might feel is regrettable that true historical lesson has been encumbered with shibboleths. In Psalm 78:10-11, 40-42, 56-57,2 Kings 17:7-8 (Amos 9:8). Psalm 78:59-62 Hebrews 3:8-11. It was prophesied that Israel would be scattered among the nations of the earth because of the people’s wickedness (see Leviticus 26:33; Deuteronomy 4:23–27; 28:25, 37, 64; 1 Nephi 10:12–13; 21:1; 22:3–4). The scattering began when the Assyrians carried the ten tribes away into captivity (see 2 Kings 15:29; 17:6).

When the Jews come to God in their distress and seek His face, they will receive the fulfillment of all unfulfilled promises. The seventieth week of Daniel (Daniel 9:24-27), sometimes known as ‘The Tribulation,’ was foretold by Daniel. In Matthew 24, Jesus spoke of this period of severe difficulty and suffering, and God warned the prophet Hosea that the Jews would turn to Jesus during this time of affliction: Matthew 24:21 tells us: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be”. Hosea 5:15 “I [Jesus] will go and return to my place [Heaven] until they [the Jews] acknowledge their offense [reject their sin].”

Don’t hear me wrong. God still loves the Jews and is calling them to Himself. Any Jew who repents and trusts in Jesus today will receive God’s love and grace and be adopted as His child. Those who do not believe in Jesus, on the other hand, are not ‘His people’ in the same sense that the Israelites were under the Old Covenant. At the time of Jesus’ death, the Jews refused to accept Jesus as their Messiah (John 1:11), and they failed in the task for which they were appointed. They are not God as He has shown Himself via His Son.

The Old Covenant was fulfilled by Jesus, and the New Covenant is now in operation (Hebrews 8:13). Jesus is the only way to have a relationship with God. The Church, the Body of Christ, is chosen in Christ (Ephesians 1:4) and granted unmerited favor (Ephesians 2:8-10). Those who are “in Christ” are God’s offspring (Rom 8:16, Gal 3:26), and they have been commissioned: to be God’s instrument in carrying out His purpose.

Finally, ‘someones’ are asking important questions, that have to be answered honestly. When they say it, they are not arguing philosophical questions regarding what does it take to become a “chosen people”. What it really amounts to is hate for Jews and Israel. So I regard this whole article as similar to a discussion which lasted for many centuries – meaningless and does not really provide any insight into the real struggle Israel has with anti-Antisemitism disguised as anti-Zionism.…

The effects of sanctification in this life are real, but incomplete and imperfect. To understand sanctification, it’s helpful to distinguish it from another important teaching, justification. Justification & sanctification are both related to salvation. Justification happens all at once; sanctification happens over a lifetime. Justification is being declared forgiven and righteous, an event in God’s court of law that has already happened. This is why Paul described a Christian as having “been justified” in the same way that Christ died “once for all” (Romans 5:1, 6:10).
