More charged for corruption

The latest that I have read on CNA online this morning is that 3 former directors who were linked to Fullerton Healthcare brand and the former Aon Singapore CEO were charged for corruption.

These days, the word 'Corruption' seems like a sexy and fashionable word. I applaud CPIB again for doing an outstanding job but I will share with fellow netizens some of my thoughts too.

In recent memory, we had the Keppel Offshore and Marine corruption case in which it was convicted in a US court, pleaded guilty and was fined more than USD400 millions but Singaporeans were told by pap ministar Indranee Rajah that the pap government doesn't possess enough evidence to pursue the case in Singapore lalala.., the dishonourable pap ministar S. Iswaran and Ong Beng Seng case, the National Library Board assistant director, Adrian Chan and 10 others corruption case and now, the Fullerton Healthcare case.

Never in all the decades under the premiership of the late LKY had corruption cases came so fast and furious. It is so sad and shameful to remember him and his outstanding governance and then compare them with the situation now. I saddens me much to see just how much we have gone down under lhl.

I can't help but ask why. Seriously Why? My thoughts are as follows.

I ask myself. If I have corrupt intentions on my mind and looking at the outcome for the senior executives at Keppel Offshore despite their US conviction, I may conclude that it may be worth my while or I may be as lucky as them.

Next, for the rest and if I were anyone of them, I may conclude that the worse that can happen to me is still worth the risks and rewards that I am taking on.

Like the saying goes, when the tiger is not in the jungle, the monkeys will come out to play. I might add that when the tiger is perceived to be old, weak, sick, ineffective, useless, sleeping even, similarly more and more monkeys will come out to play and play uninhibitedly.

I consider pap ministars had their priorities wrong and it scares me. As a matter of priority, instead of putting in serious efforts and severe legislations on discouraging corrupt practices and tightening laws on corruption, they argued and worked on laws to search people and places without warrants etc. Mine, mine. I am lost for words.

Think.

It’s clearly seen what a lousy PM goondu is. First one to lose 2 GRCs you know. Can’t even win a single one back some more. Cannot be bothered to punish his ministers for their incompetence and only demoted a few monkeys in 2011 after losing Aljunied.

Clearly he needs a wake up call whenever a GE is called. I want to see if 2020 was truly his last election as boss or if he will have another excuse not to pass the mantle on to Lawrence. This guy is capable of anything so don’t trust a low lying snake.

All he does is talk, talk and talk more and more c**k.

“Is wa run” forgot to pay “tribute” and PLP his Boss mah, thats why he become “sacrificial lamb” to showcase to Sinkieporelang that “white uniform gang” is SUPPOSEDLY still “whiter then white” lor. Yes?/No? LOL.

Meanwhile, the Big Fish “white uniform” ones will never get “caught” (e.g. those in the good books of the Ah Loong & Empress Dowager). Yes?/No? LOL.

  • Simply too young:

Decades ago, heard the story told by a retired pay clerk:

“ Being a pay clerk during the pre independence days was difficult! The junior officers of the department simply didn’t want to proceed to the pay room to collect their pay packets. They would collect it after reminders and reminders. Some could skip collecting their pay packets for as long time as 6 months “.

Anyone knows the implications of this narrative?

Simon would simply appear to be too young to know all this!
