Scavenging for discarded vegetables at Bukit Batok

Author: The attached video shows some aunties digging and scavenging through a big dumpster for some discarded vegetables at Bukit Batok. I have no reason to doubt the authenticity of that video.
If such a thing were to happen in the Philippines or in Cambodia etc, I would not have batted an eyelid but over at Bukit Batok in Singapore, then I want to ask lhl, Lawrence Wong, Goh Chok Tong with his Swiss standard of living lalala..., their MP and those very well-fed pap mayors what happened?
It is clear that life in Singapore is honestly tough and going forward will become tougher for more and more ordinary men and women for obvious reasons.
I do not believe that those scavenging aunties are mad or merely displayed greedy behaviours but I believe that the money that they have is often little, their stomachs and those at home are not uncommonly hungry until they could ignore public stares, embarrassment and food safety concerns by bring home discarded vegetables from the dumpster for their families and I believe also if that video were left filming long enough, more such people will be captured too.
Our late MM and his colleagues with their super human dedication and capability successfully and very proudly took us all from third world to first and today, right before our eyes, slowly and in bits and pieces, lhl and his very mediocre performing ministers are bring us back from first world to third once more.
To lhl and his millionaire ministers, I clap loud loud for you again.

Fresh vegetable sellers would always throw away vegetables still edible but doesn’t look good to be sold. These could be salvaged and reduced waste. This happens in all cities across the world.
No doubt the aunties could be collecting them for own consumption, it could also be donated to the charitable organisations. Is there anything not right?

Budget has no long term solution to these period of high inflation and high interest rate where people struggled with high cost of living and business struggled with high business cost. Instead they increase cost to make life difficult for all.
Training employee skill add cost to business when they have to add employee for employee to go training. With increase cost, business likely to layoff Singaporeans workers, employing foreigners. Worse is some workers have top up to pay for these rubbish courses which does not help their career advancement and salary. Increase GST increase inflation making people spend less destroy more consumption and economy. All these add cost to the suffering people and economy already dying from high inflation and high interest rate.
The cost of living has increase a huge amount from high price housing, car coe and high food prices. It is not a small amount that budget can fill with small temporary subsidy in this year budget. 130++ billions Singapore dollars of budget money don’t know spend where. What is the use of spending 130++ billions dollars when long term problems and concerns are not address. It is not only this year, many years 100++ billions spent and big problems like low birth rate are not solve. No result from these 100++ billions Singapore dollar spend. It is without accountability when spending these money. I hate it when I found out taxpayers’ money are spend in Ridout incident and expensive rubbish bin. How to trust the government with S. Iswaran incident?

I must admit that I am one of the guilty ones, but in China. I have a couple of hamsters and since most of the vegies are edible, just dirty, I do at times pick up from the market floor (not the rubbish dump) and clean them before feeding them to my hamsters.
I do that about once a week as hamsters cannot take vegies daily else they have bad stomachs. Grains for hamsters are not cheap in China, so it helps to save some extra cash for petrol
Maybe these aunties also have rabbits and hamsters at home?

Singapore needs to have bigger team and volunteers to save wasted foods from vegetables market, bakery shops and distribute them at HDB void decks to give struggling residents some dignity of obtaining free food and not scanvage from trash bins.
