Fitness for office is a legitimate concern for such a demanding, 24/7, public job. Biden is never seen in press conferences, town halls, or unscripted settings, and there’s a reason for that. Watching him walk and talk is scary. If he and his family, his power brokers, and supporters want to ensure a Trump win, they are on the right path. Most voters (right or wrong) see a very old, frail man who misspeaks often and who will be more than five years older at the end of the next term. He might be able to pull it together for an important speech with a teleprompter, but day in/day out, he is not consistently coherent.

Obviously, he has other issues like his Gaza policy, his entrenchment with AIPAC campaign money, and his lack of a coherent border policy, but his aging is not something he and his wife can control, no matter how hard they try to pretend they can.Trump had already started a complete retreat from Afghanistan. Trump negotiated with the Taliban exclusively, leaving out the government the US had inserted, and initiating the abandonment of US supported Afghani soldiers in remote areas. Biden delayed Trump’s agreement with the Taliban by several months, and no doubt the final stage went badly (as it nearly always does when war ends without a clear victory), but the wheels were turning due to Trump’s actions well before Biden, and entirely consistent with Trump’s oft-stated intentions to end foreign military involvement and to pursue isolationism. Most likely both Zelensky & Natanyahu will be hung ‘out to dry’ if he wins this November.
