Giving up on TFR?

I notice that in Lawrence Wong's recent budget statement and the Committee of Supply debates, one issue that is of interest to me and I believe many other concerned citizens too, ie, our plunging Total Fertility Rate (TFR) was not properly discussed and debated.
I wonder why?
Could it be that the pap government has now quietly given up any hope of reviving or improving our TFR challenges which they themselves are a major part of the problem.
I ask if their solution is just continuing doing what they have been doing, ie, taking in new citizens to make up for our depleting native population and our fast aging population and if so, it is basically just kicking the can down the road because there will come a time when new citizens become old and not economically productive with no or having few children themselves and then their situations will compound our already very tough TFR and aging challenges.
I invite fellow netizens to share their thoughts, opinions and experiences.

I thought the TFR wayang was exposed a long time back. Seems like dafts still believe everything PAP says hmm.
Look at it this way, the PAP says they have done this and that to TRY and increase the birthrate but oh no, they failed. What a surprise eh?
The problems have already been published oh so many times but NONE of them have ever been resolved. Long working hours, job insecurity, high cost of living anyone? Have you seen PAP SINCERELY do anything to solve these issues? I haven’t. All I have seen is PAP only increasing the number of GST vouchers or amounts with no effort made to, GASP, reduce the bloody GST at all.
And please do not forget the number of MRT lines we have operating today. You don’t just gong gong build line after line hor, the intention is to increase the number of aliens on the island to at least 7 million like Hong Kong. Otherwise they will say all these lines running empty lah, expensive to maintain lah and all that.
The intention is crystal clear for those who are daft. Nothing will be done to improve the TFR, it will continue dropping and PAP will happily allow in even more aliens since there won’t be enough Singaporeans for jobs in 20 years time.

It is in $ync with “NATIONAL” productivity vs number of FTs.
Plotting both TFR AND NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY VS NUMBER OF FTs will produce the same chart pattern.

Why bother with TFR when importing of new citizens is so much easier and faster!
Babies need to wait for at least 21 years before they can contribute to the reserve. Meanwhile PAP needs to provide hospitals, schools, childcare, etc. Furthermore, babies don’t buy BTOs. Most importantly they don’t vote!
Whereas, all new citizen are of voting age, obligated to vote for PAP! They buy houses and pay taxes. Some even bring in money, clean or otherwise, to the government.
Knowing the PAP, lazy and highly paid, it is understandable that they will take the easy way out. Do nothing!

It makes me wonder why the G allows PRs/FTs to buy HDB but barred from buying private landed when the G should be more concerned about HDB prices getting pushed up by PRs’ Speculative demand???
The G should be more particular about NON-Sgs “gorenging” the HDB market rather than competing with rich sgs in landed properties,right?
Even Sentosa Cove is allowed for purchase by foreigners.

The new citizens are not stupid….many give up after 2 or 3 children. I know of ex-Malaysians who realized that it is just too expensive and they are killing themselves if they have more. The younger Malaysians only want to come here and work but balk at becoming SG citizens….despite lots of sweeteners and suggestions from our immigration. Same for other nationalities…..humans are alike all over the world.

And he also realised that he only kept 2 green kiwi seeds which was not enough. So while waiting for the kiwis to ripe, he believed that the faster solution was to buy golden kiwis from other sources. Anyway he could still make money.
However, when he looked back at his own kiwi orchard which was not doing well, he couldn’t understand the problem.

Almost everyone has to work.So if you have children, they have to go to daycare unless you are volunteering but looking at all your posts which parent will allow their kid to be babysitted by you? I think Singaporeans are really smart in not having children. Daycare cost, followed by tuition costs, transportation costs is enough to make you a slave to the system.As a couple only, you can travel the region and be happy like Tony Leung and Carina Lau. Let the foreigners be delusional and have kids under the PAP regime. Let them pay for tuition to ensure the children can get tertiary education. After which
