主流媒体形容行动党政府在处理该党前党员柏默的因色辞职事件为果敢果断，但是在总理面对补选的选项所表现出来的迟疑，却没有对这个果敢果断的恶果做出评论。 这个补选的恶果可不好吃。柏默已经付出代价，但是这个补选的恶果，行动党和总理却不能退却。作为一个有果敢果断的领袖，总理已经失去了他的黄金24小时。这是后港补选问题后，他第二次在政治选项上，失去了他的黄金时刻。 从政将近30年，从小接触政治，为何表现出如此的迟疑。议席落空，自然要补选，或许，他从小的政治教育，没有这套培养，一党独大，何须顾虑这些问题。从政以来，也从来没有人跟他提起民主，教导他的只有，“如果没有议员，就让议席空着，反正有其他行动党议员可以帮忙照顾”。 如果他在第一时间就宣布补选，不再迟疑，没有违背自然的常规，那多漂亮啊！或许，人们还会给予掌声，说他顺应潮流，给予人民选择的自由。偏偏他的家庭教育，...
