Researchers at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) this week published an extreme aged population profile forecast  in Singapore by 2050 –elderly Singaporeans will constitute one in three citizens and Permanent Residents – the implied dire consequences of that was left to imaginative conjectures of my frightening alarmed... 

Referring to the recent TRE article: AVA: Food products from China “satisfactory”. The word “satisfactory” used by AVA over China goods should set alarm bells ringing. It is either AVA is not confident with their food safety tests, or that goods from China are simply not optimum. It is also quite likely they knew nothing... 

I am of the view that people who are talented in making money, should be in the Private Sector rather than in the Civil Service or even MPs or Ministers. There is a tendency that a top scholar will want to prove him or herself by making money for the government while in the capacity as a top civil servant in a ministry....
