So, people who vote for check and balance are “free riders”. But life is a constant struggle between opposing forces. Let one side have too much power, you can be pretty sure it will abuse the other. Let the PAP have a supermajority and it will use that power to entrench it’s position. Think PA, GRC, RC, CCC, Town Councils,...
