The unfortunate case of Ismil Kandar who was jailed for six years and almost sent to the gallows on a murder charge has exposed the inherent flaws in Singapore justice system which has been ignored for far too long. In Singapore, the maxim 'innocent unless proven otherwise' do not apply and instead it is 'guilty unless proven... 

Whenever there is a problem I prefer to question why are people behaving in a certain way rather than simply admonishing them for their bad or incorrect behaviour. Recently, our learned LKY gave the world the good advice that China should encourage diverse thinking and more individualism if it is to be relevant in the new world...
