They call them for everything, from inconsiderate parking of vehicles to occasional noise from neighbours made past the time permitted. Little wonder that the police have no time to solve real crime...

I refer to the story of a man who had illegally brought his bicycle into a MRT cabin, hung it up onto the overhead poles and further created a vulgar screaming scene at other commuters. That offender was a adult and not a teenager. To bring in a bicycle, let alone forcefully, into the train is alreadly an offence and for him...

Around 10-years ago, I remember a Vietnamese lady asking me how much I earned. I told her that on average, I made around $3,000 a month (this being the average of my billings from self-employed freelance work). Her reply was “How you survive? You Singapore Age Three-Five – not enough to survive.” I remember this conversation...
