When we first became an independent country, not yet a nation, the first and foremost thought in the minds of the founding leaders was to give the people a stake...

We refer to the article “More PMEs may get help in disputes with employers” (Straits Times, Apr 30). Recently … all of a sudden … so many new help schemes? It states that “More professionals who join unions may soon get help when they have problems with their employers, whether or not their companies are unionised...
