This is a perfect example of what is sometimes called a virtual senate, or virtual parliament. On the one hand, the people have democratically elected a government to represent their interests, including the need for freedom, security, basic resources and the right to maintain a way-of-life. Of course, having more of one interest... 

I didn’t know that the 20 odd Singaporeans who are presently detained under the ISA were all gazetted as terrorists in 2015 until yesterday (29 Sep). Their names are listed in the First Schedule of the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act (TSFA). That long list of about 42 people includes Bangladeshi and Indonesia workers... 

Parliament has an important role to play in the governance of a country. Here are my suggestions on how to restore Parliament to carry out its important role. Parliament should be the place where the important questions about the future of the country - the economy, the well being of the people are recognized and possible solutions...
