If you think about it, for all intents and purposes, Singapore is no longer a democracy. PAP controls parliament and says that laws it creates will not be used on the government, but only against Singaporeans. TV, newspapers and radio are state-controlled, and independent media and bloggers have been sued, charged, harassed...
