Better nursing home model not allowed?  I refer to the article “Shelved: Plans for different model of nursing home” (Straits Times, Dec 21). It states that “Such a design is meant to create a home-like environment and provide the residents with more privacy, autonomy and well- being, said Peacehaven. Cannot give means... 

This phrase use to be an expression of harmless bickering between two parties, yelling and screaming at each other, or using the media to attack another party but limited to just that, words. There is no intention to carry the matter any further but just to show displeasure or to show who is the bigger bully or for the purpose... 

10.4% of workforce are part-time workers “Some 10.4 per cent of employed residents were part-timers in 2015“. As the resident workforce is 2,162,800 – does it mean that there are about 224,931 (10.4 per cent of 2,162,800)? Work 35 hours is “part-time”? A part-time worker is one who works 35 hours or less in a week....
